IE being strange...

Jon, find me an ad-blocking plugin for IE (images and iframes using regexp) and you win. Well, not really, but close.

Only when I've been looking at things I shouldn't have been [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] But even then its just Start-->Path in between-->Adaware/Spybot. It's not that big a deal. It's the "price" of IE being able to display more pages than Firefox. There's tradeoffs with every bit of software you use.

Murc: did Molgrew's solution fix the problem?

[edit] err, just to clarify the "looking at things I shouldn't have been" comment. I meant non-work related (eg gaming etc) sites while at work.

I suppose. Even though I've never had a problem with Firefox regarding showing pages, I suppose.

It's mainly scientific type pages where I have to search databases/order stuff that tend to throw a hissy fit over my browser. That and my main uni e-mail is web-based and will not work with Firefox.

Ah, crappy. Probably just shoddy non-w3 compliant stuff, but stuff you need to access none-the-less.

As for webpages not appearing properly...

If it doesn't work in Lynx, I don't want to have anything to do with it. I'm not talking about addictinggames.com either. Heck, my Uni email was(read: Thunderbird) net-based, but I could still access with Lynx, not to mention Firefox. So yeah, more of a non-compliant code rant than anything, but feel free to carry on.

Well seeing as nobody else has, I'll just make a quick shout out for Opera, then duck away quickly! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I just find it accesses pages much quicker than IE, but I don't like the feel of firefox, it's just a preference.

I've been trying for ages to get my dad to use Opera/Firefox, but he's happy with IE. He runs ad-aware every other day, and spybot once a week. He's fine, the PC runs happily. I suppose as was said, as long as you know what youre doing everything is fine [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

The misspelling of Akbar is comically fitting for a star wars website though...
