P4 2.8ghz @ 3ghz
1gb DDR Ram
Geforce 6800gt overclocked
WD 80gb
WD 160gb

My laptop, MacBook Pro 15"

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33ghz

The original plan was to update my PC before getting a laptop, however I actually needed the laptop earlier than expected and I didn't need to update the PC. Besides, I'll be getting vista and holding off for a while, while the kinks are sorted out should save me a bunch of hassle in the long run.

In other thoughts.. what the heck is with people not including a Floppy drive on newer computers?! The other day I was trying to help my friend troubleshoot a borked XP boot, and half the things I knew for a fact would solve it, he was all-- yeah, well, it doesn't have a floppy drive installed. :gbk:

Dormouse: I consider floppies the most unreliable medium ever. Many many many times I've had to tell people that their floppy disk containing that term paper of theirs is FUBAR.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I'd have included, but I had to ditch it to place a HD there. One HD dedicated slot can't be used due to the video card power connector, and I don't want to stack them into neighbouring slots due to heat issues. So, in the end my "super-mini" Antec tower decided it for me: Either get rid of a 200 GB HD or a floppy disk drive. Believe me when I say it didn't take two full seconds to make the decision.

Anyway:
