That cover is really really old, you can tell she's doing it as a joke (it seems) but it's still really stupid. THIS on the other hand, I would LOVE to see.

Yeah, I lasted about ten seconds.

I remember her doing a cover of "Fuel" at a Metallica tribute (on VH1 or MTV or something, it was a bunch of artists covering their songs with Metallica watching). It was absolutely terrible. Hetfield was interviewed afterward and you could tell he just had absolutely no idea what to say.

Her tone was all wrong for the song. She sounded almost bored. It was missing the energy of Hetfield's original vocals.

i think its just that she lacks singing talent. she has a pretty voice but is not capable of imitating other singing styles

Right, cus vocal talent involves imitating other singers styles. Yeah...

She sings 20x better than almost everyone on the radio right now. Everyone else is using auto-tune and have some retard dissecting their tracks on pro tools for months. She can actually sing for real, even if she isn't really incredible.

However, I thought she sang that song kind of colorless. She didn't put any heat on any of the notes which is one of the points of the songs, methinks.

It makes me shake my head when people who aren't musicians and don't really get music throw around "X has no talent" because they dislike a particular artist.

So, anyway, in the real world, where Gerard Way cannot match a pitch to save his life and she can sing in key...

Good voice!=being able to sing.

Tone quality is seperate from being able to sing with pitch accuracy. Ask Bob Dylan. Who had a terrible voice but was a fair singer. I didn't say (well, I might have, but it wasn't what I meant) that she didn't get hacked up by protools. I was intending to say that she at least can sing unlike so many others.

Oh My ****ing God...

(and ive decided to actually spell that out because im just that shocked)

Avril Lavigne needs to be shot now, before whatever is wrong with her spreads to others. Alanis can die too. I hated that song the first time through and hearing it sung slower was just plain hell. I did not make it through either one of them. The lounge verson of chop suey was not bad though. At least it actually made me laugh a little.

And Spook: You're CRAZY if you think she's got one of the best music on the radio. She's fed into a computer. Nothing you hear on the radio is her voice. Her normal voice is "CHELL OUT, WUTCHA YEEEEEEELIN FOR" She doesn't have ANY concept of tone or any other musical understanding. Have you seen ANY videos of her live? She's horrible. Not to mention her songs aren't in any way "deep."
