Hmm... I always thought women carry purses so that they have something to whack too lecherous men with...

that too
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

Note to the ladies: Please don't give your husband/boyfriend your purse for him to hold when you need to do something in public. It may not seem much, but it's an uncomfortable experience, as a male, carrying a purse, in front of people.

Yeah.

If you're comfortable in your manhood it really isn't a problem. And it isn't uncomfortable at all.

Oh wait, I forgot common ****ing courtesy is unmanly. :downs:

Girls carry purses because pockets on girls' pants exist merely for decorative purposes.

That's all.
If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

On the contrary, you should feel honored, there's a lot of trust in handing someone else your purse.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Girls use handbags because they don't like to have bulky objects like purses, phones etc bulging out of their thighs. Its not really that complex, whether you find that attractive or not is up to you but I'm pretty sure that most women would feel less attractive if they had shapes popping out of their thighs/rear.

I never used to care for makeup, or nail polish or the like but I appreciate it when women make an effort to look nice. Granted there exist a lot of women who apply it really poorly and it has the opposite effect.

I also agree with Dormouse, if a girl hands you her handbag/purse to hold, she trusts you.

Also West Wind, whilst saying that girls shouldn't wear tight stuff for the sake of it is true, I would probably be most comfortable walking around in pyjamas but I try to avoid doing so in public. There are various social pressures that exist, media, friends etc which make most girls wear what they do and whilst I think they should wear what they feel comfortable wearing, I can't deny that if I see a girl in tight jeans as opposed to really baggy clothing (assuming this woman isn't morbidly obese) she is a lot more attractive.

I love my purse, but sometimes it can be a hassle to carry around. I usually carry my wallet, my glasses, keys, gum and mints, phone, a feminine product :P, and chapstick.

Having a purse does not correlate to wearing makeup. I wear no makeup and have a purse. My friend who wears a lot of makeup, has no purse.

Plus...they do make good weapons. Especially when lined with lead.

It's not like boyfriends usually steal their girlfriends' purses anyway. :P
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Well, they don't steal the purse, but they'll steal the money in it. (I don't have the best dating track record.)
