Yeah my hair is a little out of control. We spend most of our time out at a patrol base so I don't get haircuts that often. I'm back today for the first time in a month. We finaly got showers out there though so it's not so unbearable.

Sounds cool man.

I'm thinking of attaching to a local LAV unit when they deploy to Iraq sometime in the near future, then coming back and going with my own unit.

Catch is the LAV unit isn't going as an LAV unit but as MPs. All their training is convoy security so I figure they're going to be IED buffers for important people.
But I would get to kill hajis.

But you take care now, and have some fun.

Sorry about how long it took to update I've been out for awhile.

We're living on a patrol base right now. We've got wooden bunks built inside a building we "Liberated" from some shady locals. We've got AC so it's pretty nice when it works. I'll post some pics of where I live when photobucket stops being stupid.

I remember when a good friend of mine came back from his first tour in Iraq as a Marine (he's on his third now and is no longer my friend, but that's another story) and showed me his photos. It was some very disturbing stuff. He had shots of burning corpses. A shot of a masked Iraqi with him and his friends with guns pointed at his head. Even a shot of him and his friends joy riding in an Iraqi police cruiser. I'm definitely glad that I'm not there.
