Coke or Pepsi?

If you don't have an opinion, or think they taste the same, this thread isn't for you and your lack of taste buds.

Everyone that votes for Pepsi should be immediately banned.

Except Pepsi tastes better, has the awesome blue can, and isn't confused with an illegal drug.

Pepsi is awesome, but as far as with whiskey, there is no choice.

Yeah maybe that's why I like Coke so much.... I don't drink soda unless it has booze in it.

I like them both, but I prefer the less bitter taste of Pepsi. I rarely drink any soda directly from can or bottle, I prefer it with ice. Not only is it colder, but stirring the ice removes some of the excessive carbonation.

Cream soda trumps them both.

Pepsi's overly sweet taste is the main reason I dislike it. Coke's slight bite is awesome.

If by slight bite you mean more tarty and sore-throat inducing then you'd be right. Except that it's not awesome.

It depends. Pepsi's good by itself and with vodka, but Coke is good with vodka and rum.

I'm with landfish, I make my own choices.

Carbonated drinks suck, water > them.

I don't see why people drink stuff that burns in your throat (well it does in mine).

I don't like soda unless its like, fancy root beer, cream soda, or ginger ale.

Coke has a nice burn to it.

Pepsi, because apparently the CocaCola company has had a lot of union leaders killed in Columbia.

To me, Pepsi tastes too sweet. Coke ftw.

Coke.

Plus, I tend to say Coca-cola more than Coke.

Pepsi. Coke used to give me a headache. Now I just realise that Pepsi tastes better.

Pepsi to me just tastes more syrup-y than Coke

Yeah. Way too sweet.

Coke. Specifically, Vanilla Coke.

Which happens to go nicely with Canadian Club.

Coke is it.

Coke. Rum and Pepsi just has one too many syllables.

Don't drink much sodas, but when I do it's more likely Pepsi of those two. Somehow Coke tastes more diluted. Plus Pepsi seems to be a bit cheaper over here, so I see no reason to get Coke. Both are good with rum, so that's no problem either.

Eh, I don't notice much differences between Pepsi Max and Coca-Cola, but Pepsi has its own weirdish taste. So I guess Coca-Cola.

To make pepsi:
Take one 4 litre bucket.
Take one 2 litre bottle of coke
Take 1 litre of water.
Fill bucket a third of the way up with sugar, add water and coke, stir well.

No wonder you are twitching if you make your own "pepsi" like that!

Pepsi Max.

Nothing to do with the lack of sugar and its carcinogenic replacement, it's purely a taste thing.

Agreed.

Pepsi to me has an almost... mint... taste. I like it on its own, but with whiskey/rum, it doesn't quite sit right.

"Always Coca-Cola"

Its the best coke/cola drink around. Pepsi does not really do it for me.

I love coke in glass bottles and not those tin-cans or plastic bottles. Tastes awesome-er.

Coke in a glass bottle, unless I'm having a falafel sandwich - with which I prefer a can. Something about that metallic taste goes well with the tahini.

I prefer Coke when it's fresh from the bottle but Pepsi tastes better when flat.
If their both the same price I tend to get Pepsi for drinking straight and Coke for mixing with spirits. Although I prefer Cherry Coke with my Vodka. ;)

Ultimatley it's just a price thing as I find Asda's own brand (not the bargain price) stuff okay.
