People, people.. opinions. In your OPINION the girls would look hotter without the tattoos.

This is the same as the argument between guys who like girls to be skeletal, and guys who like them to have a bit of meat on their bones. Saying "my opinion is the right one" just doesn't make any sense.. that's why it's an opinion.

you know, it'll be funny when those people are old and their tattoos will be all wrinkly and gross.

Did I ever say it was anything else?

Do I really need to qualify a post that I'm making with in my opinion?

paper bag and a good mental image (or just use a position where you can stare at the tattoo)

i once dated a girl named rose... she had a small rose tat in a place that... well up until after we broke up only me, the tattoo artist, and well... her had seen the tattoo

First off, here's my tattoo and vaguely what I look like:
(kindof old tattoo picture, I've had a lot of work done on it since the picture was taken)

As for the whole thing about us ladies looking good with tattoos or not... I really think it depends on the person. For me, a horribly done tattoo is completely unattractive on either sex, and a meaningless "i want to be cool guyz" tattoo is simply repulsive. However, if the tattoo is well done and they put a lot into it, that shows to me that they actually think things through, and that's pretty really hot.
Of course then there's all those people who have the tattoos where you're still like "um... k?" even with that said. But I tend not to encounter people like that.
I read something above where "only goth girls get tattoos...". Unfortunately that's not the case. I've seen more tattoed sorority girls than you would imagine. But then that's all that "tee hee i have a butterfly on my a**" crap.
So the point of this is that it's the whole person I find attractive. The tattoos and piercings are just benefits. :p
And this goes for both ladies and gents, to there. Nyah.
Longwindedly,
Nim

Heh, the main topic was tattoos, but yeah, piercings. At least those things you can remove. There is one picture though, I can't post it here or I'll get b&, that shows the uh... versatility... of piercings. So, unlike tattoos, they have their uses and can be removed so you look professional to a certain degree. Still, they don't do much for me.

Anyway, I don't understand lip ring. I always want to pull those things out or wipe them off because it looks like someone was messy eating.

Props for posting yourself though, always takes a certain amount of guts.

Yaa, in my circles, tattoos and piercings kindof go together. But then I'm one of those scary people your parents warned you about :p
I like having mouth/lip piercings mostly because it keeps me from chewing on pens. I can fiddle with that instead. But i definitely can understand how people would find them annoying. And on many people they just don't look good.
As with all things fashion-related, you have to really take into account if something is going to look good on you first. Many people forget that when they body modify.

A girl who works at my local Little Caesars has two small studs at the 1/4 and 3/4 portions along the length of her lower lip. Looks really good, one of the first lip piercings I actually liked.

I'm not personally a fan, but they can work. I used to be [probably pretty annoying and] of the mindset that there is no way a guy with a tattoo can be hot. I've since changed that to - it works for some people and not for others.

I like the ones that have some kind of meaning though and not just "hurr, I'm cool now, I have a tattoo." Like my friend, who when he gets married and has kids, he wants to get his kid names in their handwriting over his heart. Another one of my friends attaches a lot of meaning to butterflies due to when she was little and got in a car accident and was bed-bound for almost a year. She wants to get a tattoo of a butterfly. I guess I like those because i like to hear the stories attached to them though.

Anyway, they're not for me, but I definitely can't say they don't work on some people. I would just say they don't seem to do anything for me on most people. I'd probably bore someone who really liked tattoos anyway, and vice versa, though that could just be a stereotype/generalization.

A guy I used to work with thought tattoos were "the bomb". He couldn't wait to go out and get his next one. But then he'd go for stupid looking ones. He had two skulls on one arm and a nautical type star on the other arm, which looked more like a starfish. We were always hassling him about them, calling him Spongebob because he had Patrick on his arm.

Ok, these are some old pictures so they dont show ALL of her tattoos, but these are my girlfreind's (and they weren't taken on a very good camera either):

She also has GIR on her ankle. I think the one on her shoulder and the one on her foot (which i think says "beautiful" in hebrew) are sexy. She has another i really like that is on her lower back, and goes about half way up, of the goddess helping a flower grow, with some pretty neat coloring and design. I dont have a pic of those two though, or one of her entire body so you can see them in place, but here is what she looks like:

To be honest most of the tattoos in this thread are pretty undesirable with the exception of a few which were really cool. I've since come to the conclusion that there exist a lot more rubbish tattoos than decent ones. I'm still getting one on my left forearm though, I just want to make sure I get an awesome design not something mediocre so I'm taking my time.

It depends on the woman, where the tattoo is located, and what type of tattoo it is. I dislike women that have masculine tattoos. Dragons and swords are for men. Butterflies and flowers are for women. There are of course exceptions to this rule (e.g. lesbians, tomboys, etc.). If I were single, I would date a girl with a tattoo if she had a wonderful personality.
