This is why you shouldn't believe anything on the internet.

In fact, 100% of the content of the internet is 100% false.

Also, your bias is showing, and their clip revealed it. They were making fun of the idea that a ham sandwich could be considered a hate crime. The incident did happen, and it did make people angry. That's what they were making fun of. One of the hosts even mentions the onion, saying that this 'hate crime' story sounds like it came from the onion.

So, in brief, here's what happened : You (And the writer of the article you linked) leapt to conclusions because you hate fox news. The real question is why do you hate fox news? It must be because they give the other side a forum, and we can't have that. No sir!

:tinfoil:

I linked it because it's funny. I don't care if it's Al-Jazeera or Fox or whatever. News story reporting on parody internet article = funny.

But you can have your silly stereotypical right-wing persecution complex if you want. Please just have it in another thread. :P

No, we, or at least I, hate Fox News because they are notoriously right-wing biased. And before you say it, yes, I would hate them just as much if it were left-wing.

I don't hate Fox because they're right-wing or even because they're biased. I hate them for their appalling lack of journalistic standards. This is a good example.

If something sounds too ridiculous to believe ("ham is not a toy"? "anti-ham response plan"?) , you verify it. That's News 101. :gonk:

They didn't call him a Democrat. Whatever flunky types text for the crawl and captions made the mistake. Nobody ever said he was a democrat. Although it probably would have been less surprising if he was.

I have absolutely no idea what that means but I witnessed at least one of the blunders. They were clearly discussing the fact that he was a republican so it is a little disingenuous for the left to say they were trying to pass him off as a Democrat. All of the networks make stupid mistakes in their captions and crawl. Human beings make mistakes. Besides, I'll take that kind of mistake over the purposeful deception around what's-his-name democrat representative from Modesto (I think) when the Chandra Levy news was big. He was continually reported as the "conservative representative from California". A "lie", I don't know, but certainly deceiving.

Not nearly as bad as Cheese and Veggie Omlet, though. Pleh..

It's the crazy vegetable oil that they are in that makes them taste odd, but, yeah, they say imitation on the bag. I usually throw the bag away anyway so whatever. Unless I have been eating ancient ones and they have real pork now... But they don't have any real pork in the MREs sofar as I know, for the very reason that they don't want junior enlisted giving them to Iraqis and starting an problem, haha.

Veggie Omlet=lose. I had one on the crucible (that and a veggie burger for all four days) and I almost didnt want to eat it, even as hungry as I was. Yuck, makes me gag just thinking about it. That and the zithromyacin powder we had to take in pendleton...

I don't ever read the packages.

The only MRE's I'll eat anymore are Beefsteak, Chicken Breast, Ravioli and Chilimac. Sometimes I'll grab a Spaghetti and Meatballs, just to get the cobbler.

But, yeah, Wtf is in that omelet?

I take whatever I get, I'm really not that picky.

I don't know, but I find they are bearable if you put tobasco sauce and (heated) cheese spread in.

I rarely ever heat my MREs though...
