Except that a mujahid is anyone that strives in the way of god, someone memorizing passages from holy texts or helping their fellow brothers is as much of a mujahid as someone who straps a bomb on themselves for the cause of the Islamic nation. Jihad bis saif is only one kind of jihad fi sabilillah.
