The prerecorded laughter makes me want to cry.

That was the funniest thing with Family Guy involved I've seen in the past year

EDIT: Koobie, it's being showed live. That's real people laughing

That's just wrong. I mean, I smiled in a couple of places, it was definitely not bad, but these "real people" are very :downs: apparently.

The part where R2 popped out of the side of the Falcon and capped a TIE was awesome.

Maybe it's because they have a sense of humor

The Bush/Cheney sticker on the Star Destroyer was great.

Not really. I haven't so much as smirked at Family Guy since it came back from its cancellation.

I thought it was great!

Some of the jokes were better if you are a Family Guy fan
2007-06-02, 9:30 PM #12
Seriously.

Family Guy fails at making jokes other than ones that idiots gawk at with their "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY REFERENCED SOMETHING FROM THE 80's!" brand retardicity.

The only part I liked was the reference to the movie Airplane.
2007-06-02, 9:45 PM #13
Oh my god, that was hilarious. The R2 capping the tiefighter, and the "Why do they call them tie fighters?" were hilarious. I laughed outloud all the way through it.

I laughed soooo hard at that part where peter's says "hey, maybe after we get back you can show me around your home planet of Aldera—ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."

Oh, and the whole couch thing.

And the conversation between the rebel soldiers at the beginning. "Hey—what if we're at the wrong door?" :D

meh. It was alright. A few good moments, but nothing for me that was laugh out loud funny.

yeah, family guy has gotten pretty stupid recently, but this was pretty good.

R2's mad skills with a gun and the "Well we can just go back to you'r home planet of Alderaan... OOOOOOOHHHHH!!" was brillant.

It's after Peter blows up the tie fighters and the guy comes up behind him and says "I just want you to know we're all counting on you."

I wouldn't have gotten it except I saw Airplane! for the first time this morning. What a coincidence.
My blawgh.
2007-06-03, 12:52 AM #22
I got the joke. I posted because he called people who laugh at the 80s references in Family Guy idiots and then said he liked the airplane reference.

Nah, I like Family Guy. And I thought that vid was OK too. But that doesn't mean I'm going to LOL just from seeing a Quagmire C3PO. Most quirks there were amusing but not exactly hysterical. Hence my genuine surprise at the audience's response. BTW, best part for me was Obi-Wan's saber. That actually made me laugh. :P

It was ok, there was some funny moments, it would've been a lot better without the audience, those guys were way too hyper.

Oh, and that looked more like a Flying High reference then Airplane (though yes, Flying High was making fun of Airplane)

The reason people laughed so much is because it's a cartoon at an event FOR starwars. You'd laugh harder and more out loud in public, anyway.

Yeah, far too much laughing on their part.

And what the hell is with the clapping? ITS ****ING FILM!

Edit: But the airplane bit? ****ing win.
nope.

None of you have a sense of humor. No one laughs "too much" at something. They're just enjoying the humor at a starwars convention, and showing their appreciation. I was clapping and laughing too. Some people just laugh and clap outloud because that's how they enjoy something. Stop being killjoys.

More like argueing over if you can laugh too much or not.

For what it's worth, I have never been in a movie theater where people clapped or laughed too much. Maybe it's a regional quirk.
