I don't think the 9600XT qualifies as "the latest gfx card," as I was refering to the 6800 and X800. I know my card won't run it at all. I don't care. The game won't be out for another two years. By then I'll have bought something cheaper and more powerful than an X800.

Yeah, I appreciate your suggestions, but the fact of the matter is, I already Bought the Pentium 4, when I sent a link to it. I bought it for $60 and the other one that Dj was suggesting was over $400.. that's why I didn't get that.

But the thing is, you can get a better video card for less--if you would've said "I'm not willing to pay 400 dollars for it" I would've suggested a 9600XT or a 9800 non-pro or pro. Because the X800 is the best card, but if you don't want to fork out that much cash, you can still get a good card. That 5200 is SERIOUSLY a joke in the realm of video cards. It's one of the worst out there from the previous generation.

Also, all of that comes up to like 650 dollars, if I remember right. Nowhere near 1000.

that's not including windows xp or my monitor.. Also, I wasn't wanting the best computer in the world, I just wanted something better than I have, cause I was worried than my computer wouldn't run Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 or Doom 3.

That video card will barely run Doom 3. That's what I'm saying. It's not even AVERAGE. It's CRAP. Trust me, you messed up royally.

60 dollars in an understatment. Not only does the graphics card sucks, the system sucks, too. a 500, maybe 600 dollar system, at best. Like I said, I just got a new computer to replace one with specs almost identical to that, in some places better.
