A survey about height.

I was talking to Geb over IM and we started talking about the ideal height of significant others. I got to wondering if there'd be a consistent correlation between a man's height and the height of his ideal woman.

So post your height and the ideal height of a significant other. No posts like "Height doesn't matter... Other things are way more important." Look at it this way. Imagine you found the perfect girlfriend. You love everything about her. In addition, she has a little button on her back that lets you set her height (she'll remain proportionate of course). What would you set her at?

Now post, and I'll compile a list and make a graph (cause I'm bored).

me:

6'3"

ideal: 5'5"

My height:
6'6"

Ideal girl height:
5'9"?

It's really hard to say, because
1) I quite wish ideally I was shorter, regardless
2) Height, to a large degree, is only a factor in relation with my own height (which probably goes for a lot of people).
3) As of now, as I told Sarn before, my ideal height is "5'-girl-who-is-attractive-single-and-wants-to-go-out-with-me...inches" so yeah.

It's hard to be objective about my ideal with those in mind.

you guys are posting too much of a range... that's not making it easy. Try to post a specific height (any ranges, I'll just be forced to take the median when I make my graph)

I'd say I prefer any girl shorter or the same height as me, which is generally 90% of all women. (I'm 5' 10")

I would also say, however, that it's not a major factor in the decision-making process.

Someone I can reach? At 5'2 being with someone over 6' sometimes becomes an annoyance.

I'm 6'1". Girl should be shorter than me, but not like 5'. That's too short and awkward.

I don't know how tall my girlfriend is but I'd consider her the ideal height for me. Probably like 5'9". I don't know, I've always been a horrible judge of height. I'll try and find out how tall she is.

Her: All of my girlfriends have been the same height as me (or a bit shorter), but if the ultimate FGRette was like a few (2-6) centimeters taller than me, well that would be okay too. And if she was like 6'2" and had a lot of money, sure.

im ****ing short. oh well. any height less than me would do... which would be like less than 5'5''. i'm kinda used to seeing eye-to-eye with my girlfriends :psyduck:

Note: I've dated girls between these heights and as long as they have a good figure, a cute face, and a great personality, it makes absolutely no difference to me.

I'm 180 cm, maybe 181, and my girlfriend's probably about the same.

That's 5.9 feet for those of you having problems with multiples of 10.

I'll post a graph sometime this afternoon. My results thus far and somewhat how I expected them.

I used to work with a girl back in Florida who was 5'11"....she complained about her height - it would be a bit odd for me to have a gf who, wearing heels, is taller than I.. :P

According to my last measurement, I'm 6'1". I don't mind tall girls (I'm actually one of the people here who'd say it doesn't matter :P), so I'd say 5'11". I'd like to be a bit taller whilst not making the size difference remarkable.

I'm 5'5. My last boyfriend was about 5'11 which I think was great - perfect hugging height! For a girl, I think I'd like someone slightly shorter, maybe 5'3

Me: 5'7"
Ideal: 5'7"

True ideal: +/- an inch.

I never really understood why you'd want your significant other to be taller or shorter than you. Anatomically, it would seem that a very similar height would be optimal.
