Just kidding folks. Its not a JK game. BUt still it seems damn cool. They got some new vids up:

I'm not sure I like the idea of a force user being strong enough to level a Star Destroyer, but the game does look interesting. For once they show something that seems to be full gameplay related.

That was ****ing COOL. ****ING SWEET. I loved the star destroyer thing at the beginning, especially seeing how it evolved from that original concept art. Besides, Vader himself says that the power to blow up an entire planet is insignificant next to the power of the force. That would lead one to assume that if trained well enough, controlling a Star Destroyer probably wouldn't be all that hard. Yoda could lift an x-wing at 900 years old, so why shouldn't a young dark jedi trained by the sith lord himself be able to do a feat like this?

Either way, it was awesome. :D

Not surprising really. Franchise games are getting less and less popular on the PC.

In the extended universe, Luke and Leia summon a Force storm to destroy the Eclipse star destroyer. The eclipse was more than twice the size of the executor class in the trilogy, was capable of engaging a fleet by itself and had a hull strong enough that it could ram a capital ship without concern.

The force took that monster down....I expect it could handle a regular star destroyer. :P

Ohh snap!
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

According to an inside source *cough*, it will be ported to the PC.

Sige is most likely doing a lot of the graphical effects for that game, and it looks sweet.

I think the game is designed to be as brainlessly epic as possible.

I like.

Something like that would probably exhaust even a very powerful force user. Of course since this is a video game and because hardly anyone knows how to properly create a force mana system, it won't work that way.

It still looks like it will be totally awesome. I hope it's moddable.

Even if it doesn't, I would definitely get an Xbox360 for just that game. Unless the PS3 price drops by about 75-80% and there is a much better selection of games by then.

[EDIT]Anyone else watch those other videos for The Force Unleashed? They're pretty interesting, especially the one explaining the AI a bit.[/EDIT]

Yeah.

Uhhm.

He was most definately refering to the ability to manipulate people and events through the force. You know, that thing he and the emperor did on a daily basis?

If you take into account the kinds of powers that Force users displayed in the KotOR era (or at least, the KotOR universe from the games), then it would be a lot easier to take what Vader said literally. For example, Nihilus and the whole "sucking the life out of an entire planet's population" deal.

I really hope they actually follow through with a PC version. I don't want to waste most of my "extra expenses" money on a 360. Yet.

It better. LEC has become worthless for the past 8 years. Almost all of their game have been varying piles of crud and disappointments. And they've stopped developing for the PC, which I think is the only fun platform for a SW game. The game play on all the console games of theirs is just too cheesy.

I just hope the controls are good. If it's another button mashing game that requires no skill I'm not going to get it, no mater how great it looks.

They should let me design the saber system. Hmph.

Alternate location? That site crapped out on me.

Looks somewhat cool, but I'm still skeptical. It's how I've always wanted a force user to be, honestly.

Muahahah, that seems extremely fun. I'm all in for this sort of over the top force power usage.

Now of course, its LEC. It'll probably suck more than a goat in heat. :downs:

A proper Wii port would be nice, too. Could be a decent game if you controll the force through gestures.

The only thing that sticks out for me is the lightsaber toss around 1:05 into the trailer. It sticks into the trooper and pulls him along with it. It's a lightsaber. It's supposed to go THROUGH people, LEC. :argh:

Actually, apart from that first trooper getting it stuck in him, it seems to act more like a bat when it's used against the troopers. Every time they show the lightsaber used on a stormtrooper, they just get knocked back.
