I don’t have any spoilers for you, but I want to know what happens without having to read the whole book.

So use this thread to post CONFIRMED spoilers, not the rumors floating about on the internet, or to talk about events that occur in HP7.

i'm hoping that the book ends with 11 year old harry sat in his cupboard, still getting beatings, creating this dream fantasy of witches and wizards in his head to escape reality.

A terrorist cell plants nuclear explosives all over Hogwarts. Harry is killed when he tries to fight off the terrorists with a wand. Jack Bauer is called to the scene.

Part of Voldemort's soul was implanted into Harry whenever he used Ara Kadvara on him when he was a baby. Harry then sacrafices himself a la Lilly Potter style, which allows him to kill Voldemort without killing himself. He also has hacks (stone to bring him back to life, and an uber wand).



Snape went to the good side (Hogwarts, etc.) because he was all emo that Voldemort killed Lilly Potter.



Harry has three kids with Ginny. Ron and Hermoine fall in love.

I can confirm GoY's confirmation.

happydud - Snape is believed to be bad through the entirety of the book - it's not until the end, after his death that you learn that he really wasn't a bad guy. Dumbledore was going to die within a year anyway, so he had it pre-arranged that snape would kill him when it was prudent. He also really liked Harry - he was in love with Lily. He went over to the good side when Voldemort ordered Lily's death. V-mort set him up as Headmaster at Hogwarts and it became a hellhole where they teach Dark Arts and practice the torturing curse on minor rule breakers, which throughout the book reaffirms that he's on the bad side, but you learn later that he makes a promise to Dumbledore to protect the students as much as he could wihtout risking his position with the Death Eaters.

I also thoroughly enjoyed that they had the obligatory Dumbledore-has-a-heart-to-heart-and-explains-all-conversation-with-Harry-at-the-end-of-every-book scene - and Dumbledore's dead. well done

yes, they are the US page numbers, because my book is the australian version and only has 607 pages. and yes, i read the whole bloody thing in one day, and i didnt even read a single spoiler.

I've never read any of the books, but I like the movies. What the hell is a 'horcrux'? They never explain it in the movies. Unless this is one of the important things they left out of the movie. I heard as a book adaptation the last movie was totally butchered. I still loved it though, I don't have the book to compare it too.

I haven't read the books or watched the movies in a while, but "horcrux" might mean "time cross."

...

Whatever that means.

they don't come about until the 6th book, they're what Voldemort hides parts of his soul in - it was part of his quest for immortality. He could never truly die while all of the horcruxes existed
