the fact he calls him by Charles and not any other name is the precise reason for the comedy.

Hey, I want to listen to Radiohead. What's the best one to get?
2007-08-06, 12:31 PM #54
The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A and Hail to the Thief are all awesome and all unique, although i'd say download a few select tracks. *ahem*

My Iron Lung
Airbag
The National Anthem
2+2=5

theres one song from each of those albums.

I got The Bends and I like it so far.
2007-08-06, 8:20 PM #58
I really like Kid A. It was way different, but I still enjoy it. I havent heard much of Hail to the Theif, but I remember liking what i heard a lot.

Vinny, I thought you hated Thom Yorke's voice.

Really? When did I say that?

My tastes have changed and broadened since then probably... I mean come on my favorite singer is this guy:

(Judah Nagler, the song is Intramural - Queens of Comparison)

From what I've seen, Radiohead is one of those bands that unites people across genres. I really like Radiohead, but I don't really listen to anything else like them.

Paranoid Android is good, yah, and My Iron Lung for sure... Electioneering from OK Computer is aiight. I really don't know a lot of Radiohead.

OK, I guess there's discussion, but please don't crap my thread in the future. If you don't like a thread don't post. It's a special way of discouragement. Or you could just post and make it that much more useless.

Listening to OK Computer... I like it.
2007-08-07, 12:14 AM #65
Yeah, OK Computer was the one I liked the most. My only problem is that it's revered as one of the greatest albums of all time, which in my opinion it really is not.

Kind of on topic: This is a great flash animation using the acoustic version of Creep. http://www.lowmorale.co.uk/creep/ Even if you hate the song/band, you have to watch this. The animation style is amazing.

Need a tissue?

OK Computer IS their best album IMO, and it's very good. Mostly I respect the fact that they unite so many genres into their music, and are so universal in their music that they can unite so many people who listen to different genres of music.

You know, I'm very taken aback by this.

Do you even realise the number of times you yourself crap on other people's thread? The number of times you feel you need to voice just how exactly poor something is, again and again and again? I have an idea, take your own advice first and then MAYBE just MAYBE others will show the same courtesy.

When did your ego bloat up like that?

But, indeed, it must be the Massassi community at fault here.

If you can't show common courtesy and respect online, how do you manage in real life?

(For the record, Kirbs, I mean what I say, but I say it as a friend. I'm not on a personal crusade against you, I'm just trying to point out what you're doing these days.)

Please point out my thread crapping. You'll be pretty surprised. I make a very strong habit to contribute to threads, or else I don't post. I genuinely ask myself "Do I have an opinion on the topic?" and if it's an opinion about the thread or the poster being stupid, I don't post. If I think the topic is stupid, of course I'll post.

Closest thing I could find in the last week was this post. Everything else is on topic, (or after the thread has been answered), doesn't attack the poster for posting the thread, isn't a dead-horse-beating post, and in some way contributes to the thread.

Anyways, I am genuinely shocked to see this many people that don't "like" Radiohead; I thought I was relatively alone in the matter. I do respect them, and have listened to most of their albums to give them a fair shake, but I still cannot understand where the massive devotion comes from. Especially regarding OK Computer, it was a good album but one of the greatest all time? I have a hard time seeing it. Still though, I'd take Radiohead over a great deal of the artists the are out there today.

I might have remembered it wrong, but I found this in the logs:

<Vin> I don't like radiohead
And a few lines later:
<Vin> god
<Vin> this guy's voice is so annoying

I don't know if that was in reponse to the Radiohead song I had just sent you.

Later in the log:
<Vin> I DO NOT LIKE RADIOHEAD
I'm just a little boy.
2007-08-07, 6:50 PM #78
Haha, what song was it though? Also - when?
2007-08-07, 6:57 PM #79
I think the song was 15 Step

And the IRC quotes are from June and July 2006
I'm just a little boy.
2007-08-07, 7:07 PM #80
See that was over a year ago. I'm a totally different person now.

Any idea what song it was though? Oh wait it should still be in my transfers folder...

15 Step (live?) Would you send me that?

And yeah his voice is really annoying in this.
