Yeah, basch was cool, and so was balthier (sorta), but vaan was the main character.

Tidus was a pansy, but Auron was kinda cool :P.

Oh yeah I forgot about Zell. Been ages since I played FF8. Zell is pretty badass though. He beats the hell out of everything with his fists, no sword or gun necessary.

I don't think it's good when you have great disdain for your main character in a game.

in WoW, you're fighting an elite boss, to finish a quest or something.. After you begin battle, a high lvl character of the enemy faction runs in and kills you all while you're busy with the boss.

I think the ear stud thingy kind of detracts from the overall manliness.

And the fact that he'd cut himself with his gunblade given half a chance.

A shame, I kind of liked NOLF too... ... then again, I guess JO's random stealth mission with absolutely no sense was a lot worse but blah had to "draw" something to get this thread going again.
