Indiana Jones

Ok, Anything in the Last 15 years, THAT I'VE SEEN, and that falls under the "Action/Adventure/I wanna see this movie with eveyone" genre. Not: "I was guilt-tripped into watching this movie, because we need to think about all those people who died, in such/and such a tragedy/war, 24/7."

Shindler's list doesn't count. It's not entertainment. It's Historcal-Non-Fiction Edutainment.
Movies are meant for entertainment.

Jesus McBuddha...bunch of opinion-hating Commie-Republican Nazis...
Look, All I was saying is that, IN the last 10 years or so, they haven't done anything that was nearly as good as some of their past movies. No, I haven't seen Munich, I'm sure it's good - but I'm pretty sure it's nothing like Indiana Jones - Which I was only compairing movies which were on the same level as Indy. Star Wars, Aliens, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Stargate, The 5th Element, yes, even Jurassic Park, and Hook for all us, kids... (Yes, I agree Baconfish. Hook was always one of my favorites...) the movies that insight your imagination, and an make you say: "This is what I go to the movies for." That's what I'm talking about. But I'm full of $hit...Now let's get back on topic... ("...because I know fatty's gonna have a heart-attack if he doesn't eat again, soon.")

Indy It's coming in late-May. Discuss.

For many films, thankfully, entertainment is not the primary justification for existence.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Steven Speilburg is directing right? It has to be good then. But god i pray they dont use CGI. I freaking hate it!
Take that there and put it in here
2007-09-12, 6:16 PM #44
the producer has been quoted multiple times that they wont be. and Spielberg is insisting on 35mm film being used instead of digital, so it'll have an old school look and feel.
My girlfriend paid a lot of money for that tv; I want to watch ALL OF IT. - JM

aha dak i nearly read than entire post, its a shame the first two paragraphs were so full of bull**** i didnt need to.

seriously, that last post you made would have been worth making as your first post, that way i could have realised you meant "IF A FILM HAS ANY LINKS TO REALITY I DONT CONSIDER IT A FILM" because jesus christ that last post of yours makes me realise you're probablys one of those folk who only watches a flick based on how many killings are in it.

also you're 12 and dont deserve an opinion, shut the hell up and watch some real films before you next consider a film the "best one ever" based purely on CG alone.
2007-09-12, 7:25 PM #46
Wow. You just don't f*cking get it. I must be talking in a foreign language... I said I was compairing movies, on Indiana Jones' level....and NOT the movies based on the dramatic real-life. Movies like Shindler's List or Saving Private Ryan should NEVER be compaired to Indiana Jones...I don't give a f*ck about your dumbass, ignorant opinion. I guess somehow by calling me a 12 year-old, will lead others to belive that you're not, one yourself. Ouch. the truth hurts. I don't need to explain myself to you. It's my opinion, you don't need to $hit all over it, just because it's not yours. We are done here. Quit trying to pick a fight and get back on topic.

The problem with Dak is that he's a poor substitute for Rob.

For sure.

You can't even do :monocle: posts right. However this may have to do with you being totally wrong, and latching on to internet culture like a giant douche.

Do us all a huge favor and go back to the hurrr that are the IMDB forums amd the youtube comment system.
2007-09-12, 8:45 PM #54
but rob he was only talking about his posts in even numbered threads!

if you comment on his posts from odd numbered threads then you werent paying attention to the amazing comments he was making to start with!

I might give a f*ck, about the childish things you say, Phil Specktor. But Spook, just reminded me why I hate this place.

Aren't you all so special. Now, why don't you go back to masturbating to "Minority Report", take two hits of A.I., murder some clients and *don't* call me.

PROTIP: Staring out one letter in a cuss word isn't censoring. There is actually a swear filter on the forum.
2007-09-12, 9:09 PM #62
PROTIP: Referencing crappy sci-fi then projecting yourself above the forum you seem to hate so much is a great way of making your point, hey, i called you out on ham fisted sci-fi and adventure films, why would you think even worse films in that genre would better your cause? Although maybe he might get the **** out, so that would be good.
2007-09-12, 9:16 PM #63
Spe.

He needs to look important on internet. You never know when someone might see that in your resume.

I could have made mean spirited remarks about his personal life and female relatives instead of saying Nah.

I was proud of myself but now you have hurt my feelings and Im gonna go cut.

There was an article that listed several potential titles that they considered, and I noticed one unusual thing about them (I wish I could find the article again, sorry) Every single title was about something that had been alraedy done in Stargate... Including the crystal skull
Sam: "Sir we can't call it 'The Enterprise'"
Jack: "Why not!"

Come back when you work 112 hours a week for two weeks straight, get two days off then go do it again for six months.
