Haliburton won a no-bid contract because they were essentially the only corporation capable of the work in which they received the contract. Cheney did nothing to destroy the country, Saddam did. We have been rebuilding it almost from the moment the war started. I got tired of reading the dribble on the Vanity Fair article, not that that is any kind of real source anyway, so I searched for references to Haliburton and found none. Logically, I assume your idiotic liberal views influence you to form such an opinion with no basis in fact.

Nope, not suspicious... someone has that money. It's not 'lost'... we just dont know who has it. Probably aren't looking either. Maybe the real reason is 3bil for iraq rebuild, 9bil for terrorist "im sorry please dont hurt us cuz bush sucks" bribe... who knows. Its gone, and someone is rich beyond any possible dream.

I don't express conservative views in my post. It's just that I've found the most common and accepted way to disagree with people on Massassi is to insultingly dismiss their opinions. Still, people like him always bring up crap like that whether it is relevant or not. The truth is, money was distributed by the butt load, that is the technical term, to Iraqi civilian agencies, such as banks and city governments, with little in the way of systems to account for it. Their local currency had virtually no value so US money had to be used. Shortly after a new Iraqi currency was issued but US dollars were still highly desired becaused of the higher value. Unfortunately in situations like this fraud and corruption are going to reign so most certainly quite a bit of the money would have been skimmed away. By Iraqis.
