What in the hell is going on with the guy recording the video that Wookie posted. It looks like he's having a seizure, or his arm holding the camera must be made of jello.

No, I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying it scares me when a police officer looks at a mistake done by other police officers and merely lists off legal articles to state why it was ok that they did it, instead of what most other police officers/doctors/soldiers/firefighters/etc etc would do, and see it as a specific instance/action that should be noted as a learning experience to prevent similar mistakes from happening in the future.

I must've missed that. Regardless, (back to the 'T' here), Kerry doesn't make the call on what happens.
Obviously law makers don't make the calls, because they doesn't have a shiny badge or something.

About 100 University of Florida students[7] marched to the steps of campus police headquarters the following day, chanting that police used excessive force and waving signs that read, "Tasers Kill." They demanded that Tasers be banned from campus, and that charges be filed against the police officers that restrained and tased Meyer.

Dude..hindsight is 20/20. For tragic instances like you're referring to, do you seriously think LE would go through with it if they knew that it wasn't going to work out well? Learning experience? Sure. However, I'm not going to let people condemn officers for working with what information they had available at the time, especially when they were acting within the boundaries of law. That tends to happen...it's a lot different looking at something after it's over with.

Tasers could kill. Just like guns could.

It's just less common. (Way less common).

Besides, violence seems like a more easier solution with a gun at your side.

I don't recall there being a single documented incident in which a Taser was the sole cause of death. I'm still alive, as are the two guys who got hit with me..

And my point is that you don't have hindsight until the situation is over, and as such, it's not fair to blame the officers involved when they acted according to procedure.

If you want to twist my lighthearted comment, go for it. Regardless, I've taken the ride. I obviously survived.

From your link:
Quote:
However, a 2004 Arizona Republic review of autopsy reports for people who died nationwide after being stunned showed that medical examiners mentioned Tasers as a factor in only five deaths.

TASER International, an Arizona-based company, is recording record sales and touts its product as saving at least 600 lives, based on reports received by the company from police officers who have used it.

If Tasers were so dangerous, why do cops take the ride prior to carrying one? We don't get shot in order to carry a firearm...

Why hasn't the staff for Taser International just up & died? They've been tased more times than I'd care to think about, and they're still around.

Nothing is absolutely perfect. The Taser, though, is close.

I never said tasers are intended to cause death, much like you are thinking I am. All I'm saying is that tasers could could could kill people. It's just rare.

Cops get certified to taser if they get tasered their selves first. I'm sure shooting you in the arm wouldn't be too lethal, but it takes a long time to recover from it. And since police force is small and limited in most parts (if not all) of the United States, we need a fast recovery. Tasers take what, an hour to recover?

And obviously, Taser International are just masochist. >.>

Why am I even arguing about this? :hist101:

Beats me. :neckbeard:

:P

I suppose OC could too, though there's rarely a media outcry when someone gets sprayed. I'd rather be tased again than get OC to the face..

Ahwell. I'm going to check my thotmarket. :awesome:

Blah, you edited! It's not required, but it's strongly recommended. Tasers have no recovery time. As soon as it's done, you're mobile. Might want to take a few seconds to catch your breath, though. :P

Therefore the obvious problem is the book.

Speaking of tasers, I just saw an article where a wheelchair-bound woman died from one.

After being shot ten times for 2 minutes.

But you didn't factor in the fact that the incident happened in Florida.

It was a contributing factor, not the sole cause of death.

Quote:
Officers said they arrived to find Delafield in a wheelchair, armed with two knives and a hammer. Police said the woman was swinging the weapons at family members and police.

That's a good way to get shot with a real gun. If she wasn't in a wheelchair, there's a good chance that would've happened.

Out of curiosity, how would you approach that situation?

a young man asks Senator Kerry why he didn’t dispute the results of the 2004 election

Well basically because the royal bloodlines at the top of the illuminati pyramid decide everything from gas prices to assasinations so winners of the Presidential election would fall in there. That is why he went down quietly.

Quote:
After he asked Senator Kerry if was a member of the same secret society as US President George W. Bush, who won the election, the officers tried to remove him.

Well yes, they were both part of Skull and Bones, but they are also both part of the illuminati and the NWO and take orders from 4th dimensional shapeshifting reptilian beings. Most police forces are told that this information needs to be kept secret which is why they moved in and tasered a student asking questions. If there is nothing more to these people (like Kerry) than meets the eye, why are such questions forbidden and require electro-shock therapy for asking them?

I'm glad you threw in "royal bloodlines" in there, because I simply can't fathom intellect being a prerequisite for membership if Bush is in there. :P
