If they actually were proper developing arguments instead of repetitions of every similar thread from the past 2 years, I'd probably say something other than "Your mom weighs 1200 golden burgers". But they're not, which is why that fits into threads like that perfectly.

What's more, TE didn't complain to me. If you have a track record of starting needless flame wars, then I have a good reason to assume that you're trying to do it again. Furthermore, my actions on that thread were based on the initial responses of the other members. Add that to the mix and I felt it was justified.

Rob pretty much hit the nail on the head as to why I closed it.

Swing and a miss. That's a really fuzzy conclusion. I don't think he was trying to start a flame war. Though, I think one would have started just because people on this forum don't like TE.

There Is a God and There is no god isn't really good grounds for a decent discussion though. We've had that thread many times and all the ones that were meant to be proper discussion had other options to include other viewpoints. The thread would only start narrow-minded bickering, probably more so since it would exclude groups like agnostics.

TE threads go to crap because you all allow them to go to crap. Yes he does post some crap threads...numerous. But, again, you all do not have to click on them. You can keep the reply count to 0 and just let it fall off the 1st page. If he doesn't get the clue at all, then I'll revoke his thread posting priviledge. I've done it before...damn near close to doing it again.
