1911's all the way. probably going to buy a kimber or a springfield armory custom when my place of residence gets decided. hmm. maybe a USP. thats the only non-1911/2011 i like.

oh, spook, as someone in the military, have you had the pleasure of handling the HK416? i hope they come out with a civilian version in the future...

I have only seen people toting them around. And not "normal" people either. The kind of people who jump off of buildings in asscrackistan with their hair on fire regularly.

All I know is that I really want to torture test it and see if it is really all the **** it's cracked up to be.

Zloc, your mum has a Beretta?? I cannot find the appropiate smiley in "Quick Reply" mode for that. It's somewhere between "I'm single, ever thought of moving to the southern hemisphere?", "pics-or-ban" and "please-don't-kill-me".

All I have is a rather rusty bayonet I found in a shed once. The trouble with Australians is that there is no concept of an upper limit of "No, I think this gun is too much, I'm going to go home and be civilized." I've had numerous discussions and brainstorming sessions (Hi ASIO, AFP, FBI and ATF) with a friend of mine on how to import a T-72 tank into this country. But not everyone is prepared to go to those lengths. One guy broke into the local army barracks, stole an APC and went on a rampage a few years back.

Whilst I don't have a problem with legally being able to own and carry a concealed weapon, it baffles me that so many people actually choose to do so.

The thought of carrying a weapon never crosses my mind outside of these sorts of discussions.

I guess it depends on the circles you commonly move in.

Or you know, triangles.

I live in an area of South London where people are frequently stabbed to death outside their homes.

Stop. No need to tarry this further on.

Also, I think the beginning of next year I am going to buy myself an AK.

Mostly I want to drill on it before Iraq since I know the fam fire class will be uber ghey. I've spent a lot of time drilling on other stuff, but I want to spend a lot of time.

None of you child soldier's has an AK you can recommend? I am thinking Romanian or Bulgarian.

I hear Finnish RKs are supposed to be good AK knockoffs. But I've never seen one in person and only have a Wiki and a damn good Operation Flashpoint mod to go off of.

I don't have one - you should be able to get one fairly cheap, though.
