New Star Wars MMO by Bioware.

It's set in the kotor timeline too. I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. This could be quite good. I good well rounded star wars mmo would do really well.


Of course it is BioWare, so the shear number of bugs may cancel out the awesome. I've played betas that make their final releases feel like alphas.

Trust me after kotor and NWN, it's BioWare. I'm pretty sure they don't test the game at all before they ship it. Kotor II was probably the worst of the lot, though, but considering it was a third party studio using Bioware's engine, I'm not surprised. The shear quantity of bugs that totally break large portions of the game is astounding.

New MMO means more Chinese gold farmers.

All I look in for MMO's are good communities, good game content, and good servers to handle millions playing.

I really don't mind paying monthly if it has those three.

We'll see how this game goes.

This was kind of expected ever since BioWare announced they were working on an MMO.

I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I hope not. The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise really needs to die. It hasn't been good since the days of the Sega Genesis.

As for the new Star Wars MMO, having the game set in the Kotor era would be a much better setting as it would give the developers more flexiablity as opposed to the classic trilogy, especially with Jedi in the mix. Seriously, having thousands of Jedi running around doing the age where Luke, Obi, Yoda, and Vador were supposed to be the only ones left was kind of stupid lore-wise. Would make faaarrr more since to see Jedi and Sith fight it out in the kotor era.

I also want to add that I too think Kotor 3 would be better. MMO are freaking boring time sinks. Single player based RPGs are way better since they usually have better story and character development.

I could get behind this if it was good, and while I have faith in Bioware, I'm not entirely convinced of the formula. Its for sure it could do a damn well better job than SWG, and for someone like me who loves MMOs, it would be nice to have a decent SW game.
