ummmm..... no. not quite what im trying to say... but not far off either.
WoW is the best mmo to come out in a long time.... it had a rich population, inventive plot ideas, a complex and thorough class progression (though it REALLY lacked variety), and before the expansion it was actually pretty balanced.
its just that after playing it for 4 months solid and doing very little else anymore, i eventually got the the point where i had to practically labotomize myself to get away. once i did, i realized that i had been pressing basicaly the same 4 buttons in a row the whole time (warlocks are so simple to play).
its not that the game is bad, yet (though i fully believe the expansion will **** it up). its just that to play wow you basically have to give up any hobbys or lifestyles that cant be done with one hand while grinding orcs in hellfire peninsula, or you wont get anywhere with it.
i wanted my life back, and other mmo's have been easier to play casually. coming and going as i please, rather than locking into it all day. but then again... maybe that lack of obsessive-edged soul-sucking gameplay is why im getting bored of them all so easy...
