Stonehenge?

"No, we're not gonna ****ing play Stonehenge!"

I hate it to break it to you, but your model looks nothing at all like Stonehenge.

For one, you're missing all the incredibly bored children that, on their way to Heathrow airport, have been dragged to some huge, barren field to gaze at some toppled rocks. There's actually nothing there.

Pretty much every schoolchild from the southern counties will have been taken there. And, at least when I went there, there's actually nothing there. There's not even a fence, or a plaque, just a pile of mysterious rocks and small groups of tourists all curiously satisfied by having no idea what they're looking at.

When I saw Pagan's Mind they were an hour late because they decided to stop at Stonehenge on the way to Birmingham.

If you can make half of the blocks look like turds, I think it will look more authentic.

I decided to start over, and after 30 mins of hard work:

TADA!

I took an entirely different approach to it, and I think its far superior to the last one.

Why is the light like that? move it up and away.

get rid of the specularity on the textures too.

Working on it, just need to get a good texture first.

If you actually knew anything about modelling, you'd realize thats not so complicated to do. All I did was make a gate/wall piece, then copy and paste, them here and there, with rotation and resize, a few them were then modified. I made them with two icospheres that were stretched out then I took a couple vertices here and there and moved them randomly. For the top rock thing, I took a cube, subdivided it twice then randomly moved the vertices. Copied and pasted, then modified a litttle more a couple more cubes.

No real science to it.

I'll generate a quick terrain to replace the green surface.

I do know a little bit about modeling (I've used blender a little). But that wasn't why I doubted you.

For someone who was initially too lazy to do their own school project to now have done it twice, seemed unlikely.

I was initially under the impression that I was unable to do it in the first place, thats why I posted here, to see if there was any easy solution. But as usual, I ended up doing my own work. (waits for rob to say I stole it, or that I generated it or whatever).

Well, I'm going to add a terrain and then render the animation, will post later in the night.

I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

I did it on purpose, I don't know where I got the idea that there were one or two just hanging in mid air, I'll go check the photos, if they are not there, I'll take them off.

You have to admit, it is hard to keep the attention of nonrates unless you have graphic, obscene, and comic pictures interspersed with how to save their buddy's life or properly negotiate the chow hall line etiquette that that particular CSM has initiated.

We're not that highspeed.

I'm using a Dell Latitude|D620 right now. We've got like.. 5 of those here.

The only difference is that some of them have "Secret" labled hard drives, which means only secret clearance files go on those computers and they can only access the internet through Secured lines.

Not really, he could've wedged the block up a little bit using his seesaw technique and stuck it under there. There are multiple ways to raise heavy things just enough to slide a rock under them.
