I got some free POG's at cubscout camp. Then some more for my birthday. Then the first time I played, the kid teaching me insisted playing for keeps, or he wouldn't teach me how to play. Then I lost half of my POG's and never played again. But that's okay, because I had X-Wing to keep me entertained.
My blawgh.

Never heard of POGs before.

POGs started in Hawaii, moved around in the US, and were at one point a currency in the US/British military. Educators and Christians alike used POGs to spread ideas to kids. Every cereal box had a slammer giveaway for 3 boxtops.

It STARTED here.

I thought they were retarded. Along with Pokemon. And Magic. I still do.

So did all my friends.

I used to POG all the time. I had the POG machine and quite a few custom slammers. I had one that was literally plated 18k gold with a painted etching of the grim reaper on it. It was my pride and joy back then. :awesome:

LMFAO there's an online game at officialpog.com

One of my favorite toys growing up was the pog maker. My older brothers were kind of upset though when they found all the holes in their gaming magazines...

...it started in hawaii in the late 20s and was revived by a hawaiian teacher in the 90s. A Canadian-based toy company produced a line of pogs, along with a number of other companies (many of which were British or American). The Wikipedia article states this quite clearly. So really what I'm asking is, are you blaming Canada for your literacy problem?
