it's like window regulators haven't changed in 80 years they just added electric motors to them. they work but a lot of the times they f*k up

They do?

I have yet to have a window, electric or handle, **** up on me and this is through at least 3 cars.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Windows **** up all the time. The worst seem to be Chevy and Honda power windows. Crank windows go bad too though. My Mazda, for example, has one side that's trying to die. I have to crank and push it at the same time. Not bad for an 18 year old car I guess.

Old does not mean stupid. They don't stop as quickly as a disc brake, but they don't need to when they're on the rear of a car.

I realize this, but I would look at 4 wheel disk as a safety feature. And don't get me wrong I'm not saying all old technology is stupid. I know first hand because I own a 1931 chevy with a 350ci sbc so I know all about old technology. But I also know newer technology and it's superior-ness.

If you care why I don't look at it as a safety feature I'll post it. If not, I'd rather not make a post that sounds like I'm trying to argue about something like brakes.

...Dude, disc brakes were first developed in the 1890's, about 10 years before drum brakes.

my subaru has disc in the front and both disc and drum in the back. the drum is used for the parking break

i makes me feel better about my car knowing i have that redundancy

Lots of cars use that system, it's one of the "cleanest" I've seen. No matter how it's done, the emergency brake will function if the main brakes fail.
