Just bought a Sansa Clip (1gb) and I do believe I made an awesome buy--even with stock buds the sound quality is very decent. I plan on getting some e2c's to replace them, probably next check or maybe with taxes.

What do you all have?

My laptop. It tends to come everywhere with me now, and it has all my music. And if I have wireless access, getting more is painless.

I have a first gen 512 Shuffle too. It's a flash drive more than a player now.

5G 60GB iPod, black. Don't know if I would have picked an iPod myself, but my ex-girlfriend got it for me for my birthday a couple of years ago. I like it, though. Kind of wish she hadn't engraved the back with "you rock my world" (constant reminders ftw), but I guess it could have been worse.

Desperately need new earbuds, I've had a couple of decent under-$20 suggestions, just need to get around to picking a set up.

If you're not averse to IEM's, get the fontopias. Best discount IEMs out there IMO.

Wow, I've actually wanted to try a pair of IEMs but thought they cost way more than that. Thanks, I'll probably give those a try.

I have a Rio Karma. It could stand to be replaced, but I have not found a player I like enough to replace it with.

6 GB iPod mini I got a few months before Nano was launched for rather cheap... at the moment I don't really need another one but I guess when the batteries die I will. Hmm.

Sansa 1GB. Nice little thing, although I'm not using the stock earbuds.
My only complaint is that 'random' isn't so random. Seems that is grabs a block of a pre-determined mix of song positions, then sometimes decides to mix the order of the blocks. At the very least, the first handful of songs after resuming is always the same. The songs don't change until one is removed or added from the player (maybe the playlist, but I use 'Play All')

Not quite as clear, but that's to be expected. Bass isn't quite as pronounced either. Speaking of...

E2c's are also only 65 bucks at www.pricegrabber.com If you're willing to drop a bit more you can get them, didn't know they were this cheap til just now. I used to use them and they were :awesome:

8GB Sansa e280. Took a bit of getting used to at first, but I really like it now I've figured everything out. Only problem I have with it is that I wish you could charge it from a wall socket rather than having to use a USB port, but it's not that big of a deal. I've also got a 4GB iPod Mini lying around somewhere that's only reliable if you leave it plugged in, and a 256MB mp3 player I got for £5 from ASDA after my iPod's battery finally gave up the ghost. Used that last one as a stopgap until I got my Sansa for Christmas.

30gb iAudio X5L

I love it. 30 hour battery means I recharge once every 2 weeks, even after 2 years of regular use.

I don't even know what the brand on mine is; it's just an old 1 GB thing.

It's still better than any iPod though for these reasons:

-no proprietary cables/software needed to hook it to the computer
-takes a AAA battery that I can replace myself
-it cost 10 times less than one

If you need cheap (30$) IEMs, Creative's CX-300 rips offs are pretty good. They're called the EP630. That's what I use anyway.
