This is going to be the first Star Wars film that I consider not seeing.

The feature film, chronicling the wartime adventures of a pre-Darth Vader Anakin Skywalker and mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi, takes place immediately before the events in 2005's Revenge of the Sith.

Season 2 of Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars cartoon already did exactly this. Lucas was in on it. It was considered canon. Why do this?

The Clone Wars cartoons were awesome. I doubt this new series will even succeed in somewhat reaching its awesomeness but hopefully they're not gonna ruin things now.

For some reason I'd be more interested if it were live action.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Among revelations in the film: Anakin has a padawan (or Jedi apprentice) named Ahsoka, says Clone Wars director Dave Filoni, adding a new wrinkle to established lore.

No. Just no.

Err, yeah, that's stupid. Anakin was never a Jedi Knight, how could he have had an apprentice?

Um, he was made a Jedi Knight in the very beginning of Clone Wars season 2. And I assume in some other EU stuff as well. Or maybe you meant Jedi Master. Whatever.

That's a different series set after RotS. No idea what's its status, though.

He couldn't of.

I don't think even Lucas understands what he created in Star Wars. I was listening to one of the DVD's audio commentaries a few weeks ago and he said "...Anakin lost a lot of his ability to use the Force because of the suit", and I'm like what the hell? I'd argue with George and say that's wrong.

It will suck.

I rather have this live-action or hand-drawn with a nice style. I really can't stand CGI movies anymore, unless its from a cool studio who knows how to use it creatively (like Pixar or smaller independents).

I thought there was an issue with canon though between The Clone Wars series and Labyrinth of Evil (the novel).

They don't entirely line up

I don't suppose he was going on about why he never used force lightning stuff was he, cause, yknow, he didn't have any hands to use it. :P

The Legacy books has put it that you need to be mostly organic to truly master the Force. You can be ubergood at it, but not 100% of what you COULD've done

Makes sense you know, because the force like... flows through you? I doubt it's going to flow through a bunch of robotic limbs quite so easily as it did with his blood.

Yea, but I don't listen to anything really outside of the movies go. They just contradict too much. Fun to read sure, but I don't accept much of anything they say.

The EU canon is far better than the movie canon as of the prequels. I basically pick and choose what I like. If it's dumb, I pretend it doesn't exist.
