Hey now, DHL has a pretty reliable service, and they're a fantastic overseas shipper.

It's likely Sarn has never used DHL and never heard of them before their TV commercials.

wrong. and wrong.

FAIL.

I've used DHL once, and they lost my package.. *****es.

I used Fedex once (not sending something, but receiving, and they lost the package.

I've used UPS probably 10 times.. Never lost. Never late.

:/

The only company I won't ship with is FedEx because they franchise, and you can NEVER be sure of how a driver is going to release a package.

For example, a UPS driver (should, factor in douches do exist) will never release a package of discernable value without handing it to a customer.

FedEx will deliver a gateway computer to your front porch when you aren't home at 10am, because HEY I WORKS FOR MYSELF *****

DHL's international service is much better than their US service

UPS has managed to get my stuff here in perfect condition and early, like next day early.

They're the winner in my book.

Personal anecdotes can go die in a fire.

And before you go referencing my earlier anecdote it's worth noting that I have used USPS to ship over 280 items. :colbert:

I mainly go to FedEx stations just for the Kinko's if I need to make copies and only used their delivery services once, which was successful.

You can go die in a fire. I'm allowed to give my opinion. everyone else has. bugger off.

Except that all your opinions are wrong. Speaking in terms of shear volume, USPS delivers an order of magnitude more items than the others combined, and with a much lower error percentage.
Wikissassi sucks.

OH MY ISN'T THAT SUCH A BIG DEAL!

I would love to argue with you, Emon... but I don't know what that means!

How many pieces does a UPS truck deliver per day, Rob? A few hundred?

How many does the mailman deliver? A couple thousand, on a light day? What's that? 20 thousand? To over 500 stops? On normal days? Plus packages? And they do this in just a couple hours?

It's clear that any mailman can kick and UPS driver's ***.
Wikissassi sucks.

Uh, that's not true. UPS always leaves a package (regardless of value) unless I specifically request it not to be.

If I ask "What do you guys do if no one is around for delivery?", I almost always get the answer: "We'll just leave it at the door."

I have had the exact opposite experience. Fedex, DHL, and USPS will make sure I am there instead of just leaving it at my door. I never had UPS do that for me.

Because you live in an area where we have decided we can release a package, or there was a good place to stash it.

You have to keep in mind, we ship ALOT MORE PACKAGES than fed ex and DHL, and can't take 80 packages back on the truck every day.

Ever notice how mail trucks are smaller than delivery trucks?

Oh yeah? It's because there is alot less in them.

It's like comparing a thousand grains of rice to 40 large stones.

The average driver has something like 230 delivery stops (and you have to keep in mind one stop could mean one building, or one apartment complex, that could be anywhere from 1-15 packages at a time) and atleast 10 pickup spots.

Delivery driver's don't have a super convenient almost always the same route to follow like your mail man either. Certain services levels have a higher priority.

I didn't say UPS didn't deliver more 'volume'. But USPS delivers more PIECES. Vastly more. Orders-of-magnitude more. And what's worse, if you're lazy UPs drivers stick it in the mailbox, the mailman can take it out and throw it on the ground or in the muddy ditch, and guess which delivery person is getting fired? Not the mailman.

And UPS takes all day to do those 230 stops, too. Whereas my mailman services 674 (I asked him) delivery points every day, on foot, in three and a half hours.

In a MUCH SMALLER AREA, WHERE ALL THE STOP ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER.

Uh durr.
