The Name Origins Thread

When I was about 11, some friends and I were role-playing, and my buddy's character got shot in the head. So he starts up a new character, but asks if one of the party members could resurrect his old one to keep around as a friendly. They resurrect him, not thinking of the side-effects of having an arrow in his head. While the character was successfully raised, he was a complete vegetable and gained the name, "Veggie." His existence was mostly for humor at this point; however, he was able to kill two goblins by exclaiming, "DURRR!" They laughed so hard, they both fell off a cliff. Good times.

So, when I was 12, I needed to make a Runescape account. I tried a few, but then remembered Veggie. So, not being able to spell as well at that age, I tried Vegie. It was taken. After much thought, Vegiemaster became the handle I go by almost exclusively online.

In Jedi Outcast, I went by -{ JU }- /|/|etallic/| .

well I used "The Jedi Knight Who Says Ni" as a sort of tag for ages... then made it my name but it was too long.

It's still too long.

I don't use it on any other forums/etc any more. On most sites/games/etc I now go by the name ix.

Some Spanish homework in 8th grade required a series of names. I started with Rob, then did Robert. Next I used Bob so "Bobbert" was the natural next step. Yeah, Robert only has one b in the middle, but Bobbert looks better with two. After mentioning the funny name to a friend, the SN was born.
"Flowers and a landscape were the only attractions here. And so, as there was no good reason for coming, nobody came."

But.. those names aren't spanish.
My name came from me having been a CnC fanboi at the time.

It was back in the zone days, and I wanted a name that reflected Star Wars and Arkansas. Chewbacca + Bubba = Chewbubba. Simple math. I've used it everywhere since.
"Harriet, sweet Harriet - hard-hearted harbinger of haggis."

Dark Jedi, because they're not complete pansies yet not entirely full of themselves, and Bob because it's simple.

Do I really need to explain the meaning of my name?

I have no clue where 9012 comes from. It's a random number.

Isu-wen means 'moon maiden' in Tolkien Elvish.

Before that; JM was short for JEDMaster, which is a far too obvious twisting of Jedi Master with JED instead. I mean. Seriously.
Wikissassi sucks.

last four of his SSN

Mines honestly entirely random.. But I first used it as a pilot name in X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter. I wanted a "star-warsy" sounding name. This was my first name ever used.. and it shall be my last.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Hmm... I think I remember being one of those few people trying to defend your "right" to speak that way and to just move along. But my join date was a few months after yours... you sure you only did it for 3 months?

Either way, I definately remember reading it, whether I was just lurking or actually posting.

Anyway, my name is cause of Ruthervain and all the stargate stuff he was posting. So I joined as SG-fan
My other common name, DS-181-3, I'm sure most of you already know, if not, get off the Star Wars website.
