post your car payment
2008-03-09, 4:30 PM #1
I'm feeling sorry for myself because I have to have my Jeep repaired again (it overheated). But I don't have a payment - it's paid for.

So, to make me feel better, post how much your car payment is a month.

I bought my car from my parents. Because I'm a student who works very little through the school year, I put $5000 down when I bought it last summer, and I'm not paying anything until I start working full time again this summer. Should be able to pay off the rest, it's about $2800 I think.

You should never finance a car for longer than 48mos... you just pay too much in interest. End up paying somewhere along the lines of 20% more in interest alone.

Mine (only bought it a few months ago) 2002 RSX-S: $248/mo I owe ~$9500 48mo term but plan to pay it off sooner.

0% just means they financed the interest into the loan. He's paying it one way or the other.

it is when the manufacturer is doing the financing, because it helps them sell a car.

ALSO. If you can't pay the car off by the specified date, you're charged back interest.
