$200,000? Did she get AIDS or something? Man, these demands in the USA are ridiculous beyond redemption.

If that happened over here, and the woman actually got something out of it, it would probably be closer to $200 than $200k. For Christ sake, you could buy a bloody house with $200k, and all she suffered was embarrassment and sticky substance in her hair.

I can. I'm sure the airline has more money than the passenger does.

Wow. How the hell did he think that was a good idea?

Honestly, the flight attendants should have confronted the man for switching seats. That's the purpose of her lawsuit.

Since when are you not allowed to switch seats on an aeroplane? I fly Ryanair and Easyjet all the time and it's just a frantic free-for-all to get seats.

She should be suing the man who played with his snake. How the heck did he get it all over her hair? He had that much force in his explosion or something? Another thing is why the other passengers didn't notice.

Honestly, it's unreasonable to be harrassed when you change seats to a less crowded area.

Seriously. Just because ONE PERSON is a jackass doesn't mean everyone else should suffer.

Well, certain airlines charge more for window seats than aisle seats. Window seats tend to be more desirable.

thats hot
2008-03-16, 4:29 PM #20
I just don't see what the airline could reasonably have done to prevent this. AA doesn't charge different prices for different seats, so there's no reason to stop all passengers from switching. The only unusual thing about this guy moving seats was that he was moving to sit next to a sleeping person. I mean, I guess they could make it policy to make sure people moving seats get their neighbors' permission, but they won't be able to enforce that all the time and it might not have made a difference in this case.

I don't think it's unreasonable to do so, as I have done it.. but I always ask before I just do it. If that guy would've asked then that dumb ***** wouldn't be able to sue.

people who say that they dont know why people should be able to switch seats easier obviously know nothing about load balanceing when it comes to areoplanes.

but i do agree that this woman should have been able to move, and that they should have responded to her faster.

unless this guy has the "fastest gun in the west" you'd think someone would notice him tugging away at it and stopped him before he gave her some of his own brand of hair gel

We don't have all the details. They could have been at the back of the plane on a red-eye where everybody is asleep. Who knows.
2008-03-16, 9:11 PM #26
I thought about that too haha

It's pretty obvious you don't know anything about load balancing either.

Are you seriously suggesting that people moving about on a plane will create a noticeable effect on the plane's trajectory or handling characteristics?

It will on a small plane, if you weigh like 600 pounds...
2008-03-17, 10:00 AM #34
Well, yeah, but we're talking about a 737.
2008-03-17, 10:21 AM #35
Exactly.
2008-03-17, 10:46 AM #36
Not to mention the fact that even if balance were a factor, that would just be all the MORE reason for flight attendants to place people, and make sure they don't switch seats.
2008-03-17, 10:59 AM #37
The guy weighing 600 pounds is about the only thing that could make this story more disgusting.

This is sick, and not even remotely funny. Obviously the man had been doing this for some time, and for no one to prevent it, she should have the right to sue.
2008-03-17, 8:33 PM #40
But not the airline. IT ISN'T THEIR FAULT SOMEONE IS A SICK SAD JACKASS THAT LIKES TO JACK OFF INTO SLEEPING *****ES HAIR.

By this logic she should also sue EVERY PASSENGER ON THE PLANE, because hey they didn't help out any either.

That'd be like if I sued you because you've been a furry for a long time and your furryness is damaging to my brain.

This lawsuit **** is OUT OF ****ING CONTROL.
