Lego. And Playmobile. And Meccano.

And my Amiga 600 and the OH JESUS CHRIST IMPOSSIBLE games.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Am I the only person who's going to claim the woods behind his house? What about that wooden baseball bat I broke? The baseballs I still have, beaten to the consistency of a hacky-sack? I grew out of those lame molded plastic kind of toys the day I got a bbgun. Still had legos though.

I still get Star Wars LEGOs :ninja:

Not enough love for K'nex in this thread!

nope.
2008-04-03, 8:05 AM #45
I had k'nex, too, but i always felt that lego and erector (meccano, if you want to sound vaguely racist somehow) surpassed it in terms of what you could do.

Lego was great, but I was more interested in nintendo in terms of long term toys... legos took time, more time than i wanted to spend on a project that wasn't on my TV. When I was really young Hotwheels in the dirt were the best though. Make little tracks in the dirt haha I dont know why it was so entertaining.

One of my favorite toys as a child was the huge pile of sand in the side yard, combined with various tools, and a hose. And often hotwheels, yes.

Aglar wins, just because of the Technodrome. Although, if he doesn't still have it I win because I still have all of my TMNT figures, vehicles, etc. A giant bin. And another, slightly smaller bin with Ghostbuster figures and their vehicles and THE FIRE STATION.

K'NEX or LEGO... If you were playing with action figures and micro machines and crap like that instead of inventing creating and assembling buildings and vehicles and characters with LEGOs, you can kindly step off.
2008-04-03, 10:18 AM #51
Haha while you were building things, us and (insert favorite toy hero here) were off saving the universe from the evil broccoli sprouts.

Broccoli... sprouts?
nope.
2008-04-03, 10:33 AM #53
Exactly. That's why they were evil.

Full-grown broccoli are too tough to take on alone. Instead we must destroy their children! :hist101:

Hahaha I don't know why that was so funny to me. I'm surprised no one mentioned GI Joes... those things were great, cheap too... 6 for like 4 bucks. Make them fight to the death and the best thing was you could use firecrackers for explosives, gas and other chemicals for well, chemical warfare... at the end of the day, if there werent a handful of melted GI Joes in the driveway, it wasnt a good day.

I mentioned GI Joes.

I forgot about Ghostbusters, I had all kinds of GB stuff.
2008-04-03, 12:39 PM #60
Man I'm remembering all kinda good GI Joe memories now. Used to build forts for them out of bricks we had around the house and prop them up in little 'windows' we would make and then snipe them with our bb guns... haha can't believe I was creative enough to think of sniping when I was that young. Ironically, I still play sniper a lot in games hah

There is nothing ironic about that.

Hah, you're right I used the wrong word. I can't seem to find the correct word I'm looking for to fix it... meh oh well. I need more than 3 hours of sleep in two days to make as much sense as I usually do... to whatever degree that is. I mean... I DID post a picture of broccoli today.

The pretension is strong with this one. :v:

I unfortunately didn't have woods behind my house, but I did have a nice climbing tree and a couple huge berry bushes that formed something between a thicket and a cave. The berries weren't edible, but the unripe ones were fun to drop down the air conditioner exhaust fan nearby. :awesome:
Why do the heathens rage behind the firehouse?
2008-04-03, 11:01 PM #66
I do actually remember exploring the woods. We found a dead dog once.
Poked it with a stick. It twitched. WE RAN.
2008-04-04, 12:11 AM #67
I still go out in the woods..

While this is a true statement it leads me to suspect that you actually mean more but I can't tell exactly what.

Also, DinoRiders.

Well, I wear oilskins and run around with a machete.

Or I kayak up a shallow creek wearing nothing but a swimsuit, and eventually end up dragging the kayak because its too shallow to float. Then comes lifting the kayak over a huge pile of trees. Thats always fun.

My favorite toy ever. (It's not still in the box)
And k'nex was and is the best construction toy ever created.
There...are...FOUR...lights!

Haha, the Rancor was the most genius, and yet perfectly spoofable, scene of the whole series IMO.
