The only time I hear mine is when a game or DVD is in the drive, otherwise it's no louder than my computer, which is quiet as hell anyway.

I have a newer one, it's quiet except when the dvd drive spins up, then it's loud.

They're quiet until you're playing a game or DVD.

Don't get one because they are junk, not because they are loud.

i can't believe you bought a microsoft product! that must have hurt. i doubt the asheron's call people are the same as the xbox people though

I always notice how loud 360s are when I play them.

I had a launch 360 and it was pretty loud. Then it RROD'd a week ago.
My new, updated internals 360 is loud, if not louder than the launch one. I really notice it while playing GTA.

That, and in perspective, lead isn't our biggest worry especially in those quantities. People freak about a bit too much about things like asbestos and lead. They are dangerous, but not nearly as bad as a lot of people would have you believe. There are worse toxins to worry about.

i bought one and it is like having a tornado in my room. i cant believe how loud it is. maybe there are mod kits that make it stfu?
