I have about twelve cubic feet of star wars paperbacks.

I read the entire NJO series in one huge star wars binge.

Most of the star wars novels suck.

LOTR is so overrated.

Some day gas prices will get so high that nobody can afford to heat their homes over the winter. That's the day I'm saving my Star Wars novels for.

Nowhere Man by Aleksandar Hemon.

Speaking of Star Wars novels, I have a whole shelf full of them, most of them in almost-new condition (I'm careful with my books). I've got some trilogy that was signed by the author as well (actually two copies of the trilogy because I didn't want to read the signed ones). If anyone's interested, I can take a picture of the spines and I will sell them for relatively cheap. They're mostly older ones, I haven't purchased any in the past 7 years at least.

(You'll have to send a PM to get ahold of me reliably.)

For gloating points: I finally finished War and Peace a few days ago.

Currently reading:
A Day in the life of Ivan Denisovich by Solzhenitsyn
Heat: How we can stop the planet burning by George Monbiot

Anyway.

I just finished Cryptonomicron. And now I have to go and find this guy's other trilogy and read that.

I just started re-reading Greg Keye's Kingdom of Thorn and Bone series because the next book is out.

I was a big fan of the Star Wars novels in the 90s. Never really kept up after that, but some of the old ones are pretty good.

Those books are complete fluff. It's possible to read an entire Salvatore book in one sitting, which is what I did when I was a kid.

I'm currently reading Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco, in the few moments I do get to read it. It's the book Dan Brown bastardized when he wrote the DaVinci Code.

On Combat by Lt. Grossman

The Story of O by Pauline Reage.

I highly recommends both.

Salvatore does tend to be rather shallow with his writing but I started reading these because of the source material, not the author. Plus, I got finished with a rather heavy fantasy series not recently, so this is a nice break.

Oh, and (most importantly) I'm enjoying the books.

Spook, have you read Once an Eagle by Anton Myrer? I highly, highly recommend that book as well, one of the truly greatest books I have ever read, and I think it holds a greater significance to those who are in or have been in the armed forces.

Oh, and read The Code Book by Simon Singh. It's awesome.

I don't see why you would want to read more than 4 SW novels. Even if you have a "love of Star Wars" as a reason, I don't see how supporting many of these books would do good for Star Wars.

I'm reading The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson. Previous to this, I read The Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea, and City of Saints and Madmen by Jeff VanderMeer.
I'm just a little boy.

Read most of his novels already, planning to read the rest over the summer. Aleksandar Hemon's writing style is actually oddly similar to Vonnegut's.

Incidentally, if you read any two Vonnegut novels, it's important for you to read Mother Night and God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater. Certainly not his most famous works, but possibly his best.

Regarding Star Wars novels... Aaron Allston. That is all.
