XP on desktop, Linux on laptop (still has an XP partition but I pretty much only use it if for some reason I've screwed up the Linux install).

My next laptop will be a Mac.

It's pretty shiny. It's a tiny light thing, lighter than you would expect really. Keep in mind that it does only do 800x480 and the keyboard is a bit petite, but if you can live with that, it's golden. I got the black 4G model as the surfs have soldered-in RAM and I wanted to upgrade mine.

First thing I did was nuke Xandros and install Debian with Fluxbox ^_^ It's nice if you just want sommat to fling into your book bag and type/surf on.

Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I'd wait. The MSI Wind has better price/features and the new Dell E looks like it'll be good. I was a huge Eee supporter when it was first announced, but as they continued to drop features and raise the price offerings from other companies started looking more desirable.

I was more asking about the form factor. I agree, I really like the look of the Dell E.

Vista Ultimate, it's a free copy from that Windows experience program or whatever. Thanks, Microsoft!

I also have six copies of Business that I got free through RIT by slightly exploiting MSDNAA. :awesome:

I really liked Etch, but Heron did this beautiful thing where I didn't have to jack around with finding/installing drivers for any of my sundry wifi gear anymore.

Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I still have my XP pro, but I don't think I'll be going back. I like Vista, which I'll admit, I thought it was annoying first, but I customized it to my personality. THANKS MAXIMUM PC MAGAZINE!! And yes, I have not paid full price or at all for an operating system. (Thanks windows feedback and college.)
