Yeah, I have a 7950GT and a way slower CPU, I'm probably pretty much screwed.

For the record I run:
8800 GTS 512mb
Q6600
2gb RAM

Runs well but not great with all settings maxed at 1680x1050. Could prolly get a few more FPS if I lowered the draw distance, but then it wouldnt look so purdy.

Actually the View Distance doesn't really affect your fps unless you drop it to 50m which looks uglier than Hillary Clinton. At least, I see no difference whether I'm at 3500m, 2000m, 1000m or 500m

If buddy keys were activated you could have mine to try. CPU benchmarks with AoC were shown to offer very little difference. Its the RAM and GPU that offer the best. You essentially have a better video card than I.

Hmm, interesting. I have a A64 3500+ and 2 GB DDR400, so I always pretty much assume I'll be CPU limited.

I have a nvidia 7900 GS(no clue where that is on the video card food chain), Intel core 2 duo 1.73ghz, and two gigs of ram(not sure exactly what kind). Mind you, this is a laptop, so please don't bludgeon me too much if those specs are bad. Seems to work with most games, though. Only games I've had issues with so far are Splinter Cell Double Agent and Assassin's Creed. CoD4, Crysis, and Bioshock have run just fine on my laptop, though I haven't gotten very far in Bioshock to really test that game.

Theres great chances you could get some decent FPS out of your rig, but I'm think you'd have to bump down Shader Model effects from 3.0 to 2.0, which gives lesser bump-mapping (with 3.0, humans and creatures get very realistic muscle definition, most noticeably on the back and face, where as in 2.0 its your typical old school flat texture shading).

I've been managing an fps of 23-28fps lately. I'm not sure if it might be something changed on Funcom's part but so far its pretty good.
