My problem is only with those "evil" ones as you put it, who have a political interest in spreading and maintaining ignorance and superstition - those are the ones to fight. They are the ones who realize that public acceptance of science inevitably leads to doubts concerning validity of organized shove-it-down-your-throat religion, which in turn threatens their position/social status.

Those who are just "idiots" as you say I find it compelling to humbly and respectfully convince that the real issue is not attacking their religion or beliefs but that simply they are confusing science for something it is not.
