I find the books to be pretty mediocre, but I do enjoy the movies.

I never thought the books were well-written or literary masterpieces. But I thought the story-telling aspect are the best, combined with a dose of personal IMAGINATION! Maybe that is all that counts in a book at the end...

I was really disappointed in the last movie, but I'll still see this one. I enjoyed the books (well...starting from the 3rd on), but the last movie seemed too rushed. But this could be due to the fact I was running a 102 degree fever when I was watching it... >_>

your fever had nothing to do with it the last movie was too rushed... they took the longest of the books and made it into the shortest of the movies so far

I just saw the last move the other day and it was terrible. So disjointed and mangled together. Felt like a long episode of a TV series. A bad one. They need to learn how to use the books as a guide, not stuff the film with as much storyline as humanly possible.

luna is soooo cute omg

I've only read the first book and I really enjoyed it, but I'm not much of a reader. So far I've enjoyed all the movies, Azkaban especially, and I guess I'm looking forward to the next one. I've seen the first three movies a bunch of times but I've only seen the others once each.

I liked Order of the Phoenix more than Goblet of Fire, in any case.

Prisoner = best book and best movie. So far...

I've not seen the Order of the Phoenix still, but I'm not a fan of the films.

The books however are dead dead fun. :D
nope.

I think it's amusing that everyone I've talked to has a different favorite and least favorite film. And book.

Well, with Star Wars or Lord of the Rings or The Matrix there's usually a clear favorite that many people agree on. But with these movies and books, there's no clear winner or loser.

Goblet has been the best book and movie.

That's interesting because a lot of people don't like the GoF movie, I on the other hand agree with you on the movie front (I don't read the books.) PoA had the best visual look.

Goblet was my LEAST favorite movie. In fact, except for the graveyard scene, I quite hate it.

I spent new year 2005/6 with Cedric Diggory in a pub in London.

Nice lad, but not too bright.

Oh hang on, I forgot that it's cool to not like things.

It's odd that I'd forget that, not liking things is one of my favourite past-times...

Bump.

There are 3 secret frames in the trailer. Two are at 1:07 and one at 1:18. They are very blurry, but saturated with green light... It could be the tower scene, but it could also be recycled Cedric footage (Some of the Voldemort shots are from GoF as well.) I wonder if it's possible to layer the images and somehow make them more clear...

There are 7 stones sitting on Tom Riddle's windowsill.

The first shot of Dumbledore's fire lasso is definitely based on the UK edition cover. And in the second shot you can see the boat.

(Oh, and if you want to see the hidden frames yourself, it's easiest with Quicktime. It has great frame-by-frame.)

I lost all the interest I had in the movies when I heard how they left out the Marauder's Map stuff in the third one. I mean... that's like leaving the crucifixion of Jesus out of the Bible.

OH SNAP I went there

i'll dig up my GoF dvd later and check the cedric death scene to make sure but it looks like that might be the riddle home in the background
