Anything with ethanol and in mass quantities.

But actually. The only things I can recommend to you are local San Diego breweries. If you are able to, find anything from Stone Brewing Co. My personal favorites are, Pale Ale, IPA, Levitation, and on some days ABA. You really really really should come to Stone's 12th anniversary. You can sample beers made up and down CA, and across the US. I mean good beers.

This fall you'll have to try my three favorite wheat beers: Ommegang Witte, Unibroue Blanch de Chambly and Great Lakes' Holy Moses White Ale.

Also I had an Ommegang porter at MacGregor's several months ago. It was quite nice. It was like Guinness done right. :awesome:

I've had a couple of wheat beers and they weren't palatable to me. Perhaps I just didn't have good brands/batches. One of my coworkers swears up and down by Karl Struass Hefeweizen. Karl Strauss is good. Their Red Trolley is to die for IMO. But I dunno. I'm a little leary on wheats.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I wish I was legal for drinking so I could try these beers. There's a beer fest every summer, and it's just BEFORE my birthday, so I'm going to have to wait 2 years to go to it. I might actually join a beer club if I can find a job that has a steady enough income.

take some vodka and mix it with some vodka... then add vodka

God bless this man, couldn't have said it better myself.

I'd advise staying away from most flavored vodkas (ive tried MANY) the only half decent ones are made by Absolut, and I would only recommend the Vanilla (great in coke) or the Pear, which is good straight. I primarily drink Grey Goose because it doesn't give me a hangover or the morning after toilet blasters either. Not sure why that is.

Smirnoff makes okay vodka, I have heard Stoli(chnaya?) makes good vodka as well.

Skyy is also a decent brand. Vodka is, from my experience, about as good as what you pay. NEVER get vodka if its in a plastic bottle...

Pear Vodka is probably the only flavored Vodka that I can drink straight and still enjoy.

Emon's, Roach's and Gandalf's beer recommendations are all good, although Great Lakes almost certainly won't be available for you. Bell's is sold in Missouri, so if you can find their Oberon Ale it's a really good wheat, and Bells has good beers in just about every other style too.

My standard recommendations for introducing yourself to the common styles are Czechvar (pilsener), Blue Moon (wheat), Fat Tire (amber), Sierra Nevada (pale), Newcastle, (brown), and Guinness (stout). Not all necessarily outstanding, but they'll help you figure out what you like.
