Lame. Didn't even start raining here until about 15 minutes ago. I was promised a ****ing hurricane.

You should get your $$ back.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I hear ya. Me too, and the main part of the storm isn't even here yet. I was a band rehearsal, and someone told us the sirens in town were going off. So instead of running for cover, we ran outside to see... :downswords:

Didn't see anything, though.

Raced North at ~60mph so it was gone about as fast as we heard about it. The news anchor was like: "TAKE COVER NAO" and me and my dad sort of looked at each other and just shrugged our shoulders. There was a confirmed funnel cloud but I never saw it. The "hook" that's usually associated with tornados was basically just a few miles to the East of me.

Well, we survived easily enough. In fact, I'd say that Gustav caused more damage at my place than Ike (mainly in the form of broken limbs and trees stripped of leaves). Light rain most of the time and breezy. Although some places in town were without power, ours didn't even blink.

Well, it would be the opposite here, Ike managed to knock a few trees and a lot of large limbs down while Gustav's biggest damage was knocking the power out a couple of times and just making a mess with leaves and barely raining. I played STALKER: Clear Sky through most of Ike.

Is it bad that I want the hurricane to hit hard so I can go down there as part of the relief effort and make lots of money on an 18 day assignment? There's lots of overtime and hazard pay to be made.
