The popup of it makes it really distracting, though.

Not a fan of the interface (specifically the tabs in the title bar) and the apparent lack of any real customisation options. The browser itself seems ok. Have seen a couple of minor rendering issues but for the most part it works well. Can't see myself choosing this over firefox though.

Just installed it. Still checking it out, though. The text in the addy bar is huge.

I can't get enough of the speed in this browser. Another thing that's really awesome is that for most website with a file chooser, you can drag files from explorer onto the file chooser and it selects the file :o

I couldn't live without mouse gestures, so I cobbled together a script that sends keystrokes to Chrome when certain gestures are performed.

It would be interesting to see real benchmarks of Chrome vs other browsers. I'd like to see how much speed is actual and how much is perceived. For example, Chrome appears to display page content as it is downloading more than Firefox does, but the net time required to get a page fully loaded may not be so different.

I really like the multi-process design. It may take more RAM but it's definitely the right way to do it.

mzzt ran an acid test, it scored 79/100 or something.

Again, this browser is in beta. And Acid is just for rendering I believe.

I like it's simplicity. No buttons or obvious menus, more area to see. No status bar, but still has status bar functions (links show up as overheads at the bottom corner of the page, etc)

I don't like that it wants to run an "updater" in the background on bootup.:colbert:

Ok, I'm sorry for reviving an ancient thread, but I have a simple question and didn't think it merited a whole new thread of its own.

What is the keyboard shortcut to select the address bar? I've always used Alt + D and it works in Chrome, but it makes that annoying ping! sound as if I've done something wrong. Is there another keyboard shortcut for this? How can I change it? How can I turn off the ping sound? It's a tiny problem, but it's driving me crazy.

F6 is the universal key for it. On any OS I've ever used, and any browser I've ever used.

Ah! F6. I wondered what you were used for. Hooray! It'll take a while to get out of the Alt+D habit and start using F6 instead, though.
