CM no offense but I'll take your opinion on an apple product the day hell freezes over :)

From what I've seen of apple's customer service (the in store stuff / shipping things for repairs) its pretty good. As in, nowhere near useless.

Then again my apple products havent broken yet :colbert:

I think think this ad is the coolest thing Microsoft has done in a long while. And at least they don't come off as pretentious *******s like apple do with their ads.
Take that there and put it in here

None of you got the purpose of the ad. It's not intended to sell Vista, or combat Apple hipness. Bill Gates is a huge Seinfeld fan, and he has money. So much money that he can shell out millions to televise a Seinfeldesque vignette. So much money that he can buy Jerry Seinfeld's time, who himself has money.

You should be ashamed of yourselves. If you had that kind of money, would you do anything different? Next you're going to be complaining about Gates' child snuff-porn enterprise.

I think he also wanted to show his lighter side.

If I had that much money I'd pay Jackie Chan to come over and head to Pizza Hut or McDonalds. lol

Jackie Chan would have been WAY better than Seinfeld.

I meant phone support.

I think we had someone on these forums who worked for them. He had some good stories about it.

Oh well. Customer service is always good for some people and bad for others. It is very difficult to measure. Unless it's EA's tech support. :suicide:

In my experience they're absolutely useless. You go in and get swarmed by teens in Apple t-shirts who can't give you a straight answer as to why that monitor costs over twice as much as any other brand.

They also tried to sell my girlfriend a DVD burner upgrade for her laptop, because "you'll need to use it to transfer large files for school".

I really think they just hire fanboys who don't have the capacity to think for themselves.

And this is why I haven't bought the iPhone yet that I want. I can't stand walking into that store.

Hm. I try to research before I go into a store. I've found they're much more helpful if you know what you're talking about... or at least sound like you do.

But yea, I'm not a fan of going to that store too much.

He had some stories, from like 2001. Remember, Steve Jobs was only just back on the train, and he's basically recreated apple from the ground up, so he was getting there.

Then if they just made them fight, and replaced Gates with Steven Seagal.

Genius.
nope.

I was going to call you a Macfag, but decided it was probably against the rules.

Mackid was the closest thing I could think of.

Don't you love the fact that I don't own any apple hardware at that :>

I think today's PA sums up the approach pretty well.
