Thanks for reading my post.

I don't care if theres bad language in an image, but you have to realize people browse at work / school. Just because you don't care about language doesn't mean someone else wont :P

Are you saying most of the founding fathers didn't have slaves at one time or another?

And blacks weren't the only people who weren't included in the group "anyone."

No, but you do and apparantly you somehow missed the fact that the image was not linked to and appeared in the opening post until MB corrected it.

I've got an idea: instead of writing 3 pages about Wookie's fascist agenda, how about just ignoring it and getting back on topic with awesome political cartoons

No, but most of them also took excellent care of the slaves they did have (think more like a butler who works for food/living quarters, or a better form of indentured servitude). And most of the founding fathers tried to take steps against slavery.

I don't fight with him. I pick on him occaisionally. I have never thought so lowly of him to think he would ban someone from the site simply because he dislikes them.

here is a hint, it means that you make yourself look like a complete idiot who's oppion probably isnt worth listening to.

You seem to be very slow. Of course it could be the language barrier being that you're Australlian. I routinely engage in sarcastic, self-depricating posts. There were probably some people that thought the comment was funny, and some that thought I was an *** for making it. There was a little something in it for everyone.

I looked for an English - Australlian translator on Yahoo! but couldn't find one. There are plenty of Aussies here so maybe somebody can translate this in a PM to him or something...

No it was a serious comment and this is your excuse now that you've realized you're an idiot.

I think you're even more confused than Alpha1. What comment are you referring to? If it is my first one then, yeah, I stand by it but I was equally satisfied with the administrative changes made to your post. I assume that if you continue to act in a manner that requires the staff to edit your posts an admonishment of some sort will be made. Not really my concern but I never would have posted in this thread if your opening post had always appeared as it does now.

We might like you more if every time someone slammed you for being a retard you just admitted you were a retard instead of retardly backpedaling with some retarded excuse.
2008-09-11, 6:21 PM #96
What is this backpedaling you two weirdos are referring to? I haven't changed any position in this thread. I'm just reassured that someone with moderator privileges actually cared enough to edit his post which I found offensive. I found it offensive because it was not linked to and that it was a flagrant violation of the rules on language. I would have had no grounds for my complaint if his post appeared then as it does now.

Backpedaling is that thing you do in every thread you say something stupid.

Oh poop on you.

Woo hoo, that made it past the swear filter!

But having slaves, and saying you are against it, is a tad contradictory. Even if you treat them well, you are still feeding the idea that one man is inherently less than the other. They also weren't the only ones that were treated badly for being different--let's not forget how the Indians were treated.

However, I'm not trying to say that our founding fathers were all *******s who didn't do anything right. I do understand where you are coming from. My point is that we do idolize them to a certain extent--even if we try to avoid the Wookie06 mindset.

I'm sorry, what is my mindset? Of course I found the opening post offensive but not because I hold the founding fathers sacrosanct. More because the fowl language was against forum rules and also out of context for the time. I don't mind humor but that was garbage. It simply portrays two great Americans as garbage with no contextual reason. A frame or two on each end of the cartoon relating the comedy to a certain situation would have been nice. I guess Franklin could have been a pot head. Maybe that makes it funny, I don't know. I say just go watch the HBO John Adams miniseries. It has far more humor in it than that trashy cartoon and a bit more as a bonus.

Hee, yes.

I thought the comic was great. It takes a certain non-linear mindset to enjoy dada comedy, though.

Here's your ticket to banland, 7 day all expense paid trip. Maybe after a week you'll figure out that I won't put up with blatant disrespect for the staff and myself. If you have a problem with how this site is run, there are numerous ways to go about it that don't involve being a complete jack***. No one believes your story of self-deprecation, and frankly I don't even care if it was.

As for the rest of this thread, get back on the original topic of the image. Period.

This comic is amusing! My favorite part was when Benjamin Franklin said "get money, **** *****es, smoke trees" and George Washington said "wisdom."

What was your favorite part, Massassi?
2008-09-12, 3:31 PM #120
Mine was when ben franklin said 'g wash. what the f*** up.' :awesome:
