Well, week 1 was hectic wasn't it? Tom Brady out for the season. Somehow, I don't see the Patriots going away though. And how bout them Jets? And Cowboys, of course;). Anybody going to a game? I'm heading to the new Colts stadium on the 21st to watch the Colts and Jaguars.

Anyway, this thread is for the entire season, lets keep the action going.

Don't worry, the Jets are still terrible. They'll just be a higher-scoring terrible this year.

I have hope for the Ravens, but I don't think they stand a chance in their division with the Steelers.

Aww I thought we were gonna have "No Fishstickz Lovin'" enforced.
nope.

The Steelers looked particularily awesome. (Plus I have Willie Parker and Hines Ward on my fantasy team :) ). They were running train. Dallas was looking pretty damn good too.

The Jets squeaking out a victory over the lowly Dolphins is not a story.

The Chiefs almost sending the game into overtime against the Patriots, though...

Ugh, the Chiefs offensive play calling *and* execution is horrible! How do you have 4 downs from the five yard line and you fail to score a touchdown? Especially when you supposedly have one of the most talented running backs in the league. :carl:

Go PATS!!!
. . . oh wait...

I give them at least ... 8 wins?
2008-09-11, 2:47 PM #8
Yeah Dallas! But I'll wait to really celebrate after they play a real team...

Dallas and Philly on Monday night. Going to be a war if Philly shows up to play. And Pitt does look pretty tough this year. After all the injuries, the playoffs are pretty open this year.

San Diego is full of complete and utter fail.

My God do we suck.

This includes baseball and football.

I was laughing at the Colts the whole game... then they won out of no where. Good game.
So the rest of the patriots are stepping it up. Cassel avoided totally sucking, but I'm not ready to give him the thumbs up yet. He hasn't shown he can throw the ball yet. Moss want the ball. Can Cassel give it to him?

The 49ers and the Raiders both won on the same weekend. Hell has to be freezing over.

Just so we're clear, I don't feel bad about the game today.

Alls I know is the Chargers got screwed. That game was literally theirs, no if ands or buts. Terrible call on the part of the officials. Also, is anybody pissed off that Cleveland has something like 4 games left in primetime TV slots? Somebody bet the farm they would be the darlings of the NFL this year, looks like we are stuck watching a lousy team....alot.

Cowboys and Eagles in a few minutes...this game will be sick.

Yep. We're about to fire up the barbeque and watch the game in the barracks. Should be a really good game.

Damn...that was one crazy first half. Glad to see Owens outshone by McNabb, hopefully that trend will continue and the Packers can head into next week unbeaten versus Dallas.

Yeah, it's been a great game to watch. Way better than the game last night.

It sucks I missed that 4th Quarter of it. Being a Cowboys fan, I am still leery of a rematch. That game could have gone either way. McNabb being healthy is downright frightening. I say it again, NFC East is one of the toughest Divisions in the NFL. Always hard-fought close games. And

Three excellent games this week, the Redkins / Saints game, the Chargers / Broncos game and the Cowboys / Eagles game. All really great, enjoyed the hell out of all of them.

So they're going to go undefeated during the rgar season, win one playoff game then call it quits? Sounds like a wonderful plan.

I think if anyone manages to do undefeated regular season again, they will win it all.

I love the pats, I would love to say cassel can bring em to that goal, but I don't think it will happen. That being said, I would have said the same thing last year. Who knows what will happen. Maybe Cassel will pull a Brady.. but definitely not a undefeated win.

But they are pretty well off.

Next game is the Dolphins. Tack on another win :)

Bye week.

By then that's 3 wins and a lot of practice. Cassel will have built up his confidence and hopefully working on throwing down field to Moss. If he can work on that long pass we're golden.

Who said it was a plan? I didn't know I was on the coaching staff. I'd call it more of a prediction.

Cassel's a liability for the Patriots and there's no sense denying it. Any decent NFL quarterback, playing in that offense, would have lit the Jets up for at least 35.

All Cassel has to do is stay on the field as long as possible. Don't go for risky plays. Keep the offense on the field... don't try to score. The defense can hold their own, but they can't be playing the whole game. Just put enough points up win. That's all.

Well, week 3 is a day away. Highlight games: Cowboys and Packers. Both are 2-0. I'm going to the Colts game. They play Jacksonville, so that's going to be fun. Pittsburgh plays Philly and the Steelers better bring their A-game, otherwise Philly will romp right over them. And the Jets play San Diego on Monday Night. These are the games that I deem worth watching if said teams show up to play.

Five people from my company are going to the Jets v. Chargers game. I'm not one of them!

The over-under on total points this week in Broncos-Saints is 51. That is not enough points for the ridiculous shootout that this game is going to be.

About time we get rid of Tarvaris. Gus Frerotte definitely isn't a permanent solution, but at least he'll win games.
