Pocahontas?

Or either The Mask or Karate Kid, both of which my grandmother dropped me off and I watched it with my sisters and cousins pretty much without an adult.

Probably Aladdin. I would have been 6 at the time and I can't think of any movies I saw in theater prior to that.

I'm pretty sure Jurassic Park was the first movie I saw in a cinema.
The theatre I went to is still open, although I have not been there in years. They tend to show more plays than films there now.

Also who else thought they cloned dinosaurs for real to make the movie? I totally did.

Star Wars Episode I

In fact I think that was the first Star Wars movie I ever saw.

Transformers the movie. THE ORIGINAL ONE.

I think it was Pinocchio or Bambi during one of their re-releases back in the early 80's. I was 3 or 4 at the time.

The lion king's the first one I actually remember. I also saw at least one more. I recall going to the theater with my mom when I was maybe 5 or 6 but I can't remember for the life of me what we saw.

I'm with the Aladdin crowd. I was thinking it was The Lion King, but I realized that Aladdin came out about two years before. >_>

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I think I was like 5 or so when my parents took me and my sister to see it at a drive-in movie theater. All I remember was being scared of the big dragon set in the beginning of the movie while hiding under the seats.

Disney's Snow White in the 80's. I must have been about 4. My dad had to take me out in the middle because I was scared ****less.

bambi.

I remember seeing the hallway in the back of the theatre for the first time and hearing all the loud noises and crying.

It was either E.T. or Ghostbusters whichever came out first. Both had scary parts (scary to a young child...) that obviously deeply scarred me. :P

I was almost positive it was Aladdin, but Beauty and the Beast actually came out first, making that the first movie I saw in theatres. The funny thing is I remember it as being exciting/suspenseful/thrilling everytime I saw the beast. Heh.

Weird... when I read this thread the only thing I could think of was The Adventures of Milo and Otis. It's just one of the earliest. Did the Fievel, or however the damn rat's name is spelled, movies come out before Milo & Otis? Secret of Nymh? Neverending Story maybe. I dunno, it was so long ago.

Either The Neverending Story, Flight of the Navigator, or Back to the Future. Whichever came out first.

The first movie I remember seeing in a theater was TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze. I think I was 4.

My first movie theater movie was Mars Attacks! in 1997, when I was 13.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

nope.

I'm pretty sure I saw movies before this, but the one I most vividly remember seeing in theater is Jurassic Park with my Dad and brother. That one I remember most seeing it, and the events surrounding it. I'm pretty sure I saw "Life with Mikey" before Jurassic Park (cuz I remember sneaking into JP just to watch a bit of it), but I don't remember Life with Mikey at all.

Haha, I'm not sure why I never went to the movies before that, but my friends wondered about it too at the time.

It's really annoying to take younger kids to movies, they make to much noise.

:psyduck: I can't remember, argh. The first movie that I can "remember" is Apollo 13. back in '96 or so, but I KNOW that I had seen movies before that (it's just that I loved Apollo 13 so much that I saw it 4 or 5 times in theaters and thus it's the only thing I remember very vividly).

I want to say it's a Disney movie but I really can't remember @_@ If I had to guess I'd say Aladdin as well ... I wasn't in the States yet for Beauty and the Beast. Although, I don't think I really understood English well enough for Aladdin either. Who knows.

I think it's The Land Before Time, but I'm not sure. I'd have been 2 years, 10 months old at the time.
