I'd say your missing out on a great breakfast alternative.

If you decide to try one, go to your local Brugers and get a cinnamon and sugar bagle, or do what squirrel said, because those are amazing as well.

A bagel with cream cheese is the meaning of life. It could only be better if you had 42 of them.

I'm eating a bagel with cream cheese right now as a matter of fact. :awesome: I come home fro ma long day out, having had no dinner, I look around for food, and lo, like a beacon shining through th night, a package of bagels sat atop the counter. Eagerly I toasted it and cream cheese'd it, and am now sitting in heaven.
DO NOT WANT.
2008-09-20, 5:32 PM #11

2008-09-20, 5:33 PM #12

Eat a bagel with plain cream cheese and lots of smoked salmon. It is incredible.
I'm just a little boy.

I didn't have a bagel until I was around 16-17.

Smash a couple pieces of bread together and you get an idea of what a plain bagel is like.

I've never eaten a bagel, isn't it just like a bread roll with a hole in the middle?

If you lived in the US or Canada and you never had a bagel, then yes, that would be weird.

I've only had the Finnish variety called rinkeli. I think I was addicted to those as a kid but nowadays just the sight makes me want to brush my throat.

It's their boiled rubbery crust that makes them so yum. I usually have the inside scooped out so it's less carbs and there's more room for filling.

I used to eat them. You can get packs of cinnamon and raisin bagels from Asda (or you used to be able to, at any rate). But I don't think it's weird for someone outside of the US/Canada to not have eaten one.

Any flavor - toasted. With butter and/or cream cheese. My god, they're like heroine. Once I eat one, I GOTTA HAVE MORE AND MORE!

I wish I had bagels.

Or English muffins.

...or a toaster.

I never ate a bagel until I was 21 years old. And that was only because I read a book where they played an important role.
