Games!

The next few weeks a lot of new and good video games are coming out. I am already planning on getting the next Call of Duty, and I know fishstickz is looking forward to Fable 2.

What games are you looking forward to?

I am considering buying either STALKER on Steam for 20bux or Dead Space for PC right now, can't really decide.

If you're like me, you really don't have time for games, but at least we can want to play them :P

Get Dead Space.
DO NOT WANT.
2008-10-19, 8:16 PM #3
Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty: World at War.

I'll be broke. :(

FABLE 2

can't wait, and COD of course

I still want to finish GTA IV though because I know I wont touch it for a while.

nothing really tempting me to pay full price right now...

Gears of War 2 is the only thing that really stands out right now. I have to stop buying games that I only play for a week!

Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Mirrors Edge...

It's a good time to have an Xbox!

I have STALKER: Clear Sky. The devs are slowly patching the game up, and people are starting mods (i.e. edits to make guns actually usable.)

Thing is, are you a patient person? Clear Sky requires alot of patience because you are going to get gunned down over and over.

EDIT: Or do you mean STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl?

I'm so far behind games for 360 as it is. I still need to get CoD4, Mass Effect, Gears of War, etc before moving on to any new games. That's mostly because my 360 has been sitting at home collecting dust while I've been up working on our forest.

Fallout 3.

If the next Call of Duty turns out to be anything like Modern Warfare*, then I'll buy that in a heartbeat too.

* Not in setting, as I'm aware it's gone back to WW2, but the more cinematic aspect of it.

Fable 2 is at the top of my list.

Fallout 3, Gears of War, Wrath of the Lich King, Far Cry 2 and close seconds.

Mirror's Edge, definitely. The rest don't entice me to pay full price for.

I only have enough money to pick up one game this week. What should it be out of these?:

Far Cry 2
Fable 2
Dead Space
Call of Duty 5

out of those 4 I'd take Dead Space, but despite not being an uber RPG fan I'm starting to like the look of Fable 2...

Even though I've always been a big fan of the CoD series, I may not get CoD5. I'm so sick of WWII games, so it better be the best game ever made if it's going to get me to play it. Going back to WWII after CoD4 seems like a big step back for the series, but we'll see.

Oh, and Far Cry 2 is coming out tomorrow! :D

Yeah, and great as CoD4 was, it was oh so short. The MP would've kept me interested if it wasn't for all the annoying children with headsets.
2008-10-20, 2:55 PM #25
...you can mute them?

I happen to have the two days right when Gears2 comes out off....
2008-10-20, 4:01 PM #27
Fallout 3, Far Cry/Bioshock, Resistance 2, Mirror's Edge, and Prince of Persia

Same, except add "annoying brits which no one can understand and usually ends up in an argument between which country and/or dialect is superior" in there

But the game comes out the seventh. So what good does the next week do you?

My friend is taking off two weeks that coincides with the release of Wrath of the Litch King. And he says he's not addicted.

Is Dead Space worth buying new?
2008-10-21, 2:26 PM #35
Just Gears of War 2 and Rock Band 2 for me (yes, I know you yanks have already got that one).

Am interested in Fable 2, Far Cry 2, Fall Out 3 and Dead Space but none of those are essential purchases.

Couldn't give a toss about CoD: World at War. If Infinity Ward were actually developing it, I'd certainly pick it up on release but Treyarch have a mediocre track record. CoD 1, 2 & 4 are still some of my favourite shooters ever.

Do NOT buy the next Call of Duty. It's made by the same guys who did the ****-smear CoD3.

Except for the fact that this game actually looks as if it has potential..

How so? It looks exactly like CoD3 ... but in a slightly different setting.

I'll probably get CoD.

I'd like to see another Modern Warfare in CoD6. It seems like there are plenty of WW2 games already.
2008-10-21, 9:33 PM #40
CoD started to suck when they implemented the arcade style health system in CoD2.
