Well the 7th is a friday, so once I'm home from work friday I've got all weekend, and all next week (and the following weekend) to play!

Does it really? I can't remember CoD 3 completely but I don't remember it looking anything like this game.. Maybe similar cities/timeframe/uniforms/guns, but I would be willing to wager the gameplay between the two games is going to be immensely different. I could very well be wrong, but logic concludes there must be some gameplay difference between an old-generation and next-generation video game. Again, I could very well be wrong. We'll have to wait until release date

But one must first consider:

1.) It's a FPS.

2.) It's a World War II FPS.

3.) It isn't being developed by Infinity Ward.

Yeah, but I can get the game at midnight the sixth, finish the campaign, and be raping COG online before you take your lunch break.
