Schools are too and the original idea was that they weren't supposed to be. :\

Even if you run it with the federal government you can't get consistency..

My argument was just that if run at the state level the inconsistency would be worse than federal.

Wait, my understanding is that they would not take over actual clinics and hospitals but would simply provide insurance in lieu of private insurance if you so choose? So the quality of care is irrelevant?
